Yes we are lucky my college is a hospital. So our clinical instructors pick our patients before the other colleges there that also do their clinicals here. They gives us no excuse on knowing our patient. That was one reason I chose to go to school here.

My clinical starts at 0600, ends at 1800 and we have an hour commute to the hospital

Specializes in Nursing Assistant.

0645 last semester with an hr + commute. Same thing for this upcoming second semester. We are also required to do pt research the day before along with med research.

We also have clinicals that start at 1500. It's our choice, we choose our clinical site/time.

Specializes in Emergency/Cath Lab.

Everything started at 630 except L&D and that started at 5. God I hate mornings.

Specializes in ICU.

Almost everything started at 6 45 am. There were a few 2 week rotations that started at either 9 am, or 1 pm.

Specializes in Cardio-Pulmonary; Med-Surg; Private Duty.

Depends on the class, instructor, and clinical site. Anywhere from 0700 to 1300.

7am! I am a bit concerned about this, because its an hour commute and my kids get on the school bus at 630 am. On days that I do not have clinicals, I can get them on the bus and make it to my school on time.

My husband sets his own hours but is used to working at night and is NOT a morning person. He's going to have to become one though. It isn't going to be pretty! I will be firing up the expresso machine!

:)

6:30am with an hour commute, last semester we started at 12. God, I miss last semester.

7 a.m.

Which probably means I should be there at 6:30 a.m. :zzzzz I won't start clinicals until 3 weeks after school starts.

I will start at 7a, some of my classmates are at 5a-3 because they are on Mondays and we have class afterwards from 4-7. Thats going to be a long day for them, especially since it is an hour drive for most.

Specializes in MICU.
Specializes in ER.

7am. I had afternoon clinicals for fundamentals, which was from 2-8 pm. I loved that shift!
