Psych nursing not my forte but as a 40+year voter this statement from a former President alarming.  Constant name calling, "Fake News Media" , not accepting testimony I'd observed during congressional hearings-- D.C. National Guard chief: Pentagon took 3 hours to greenlight troops during Capitol assault.  Nancy Pelosi + Sergent at Arms not involved in refusal.  He is unable to let go of being in office as FORMER President.  Can't remember any former President having such a huge thumb on political scene post leaving position yet alone shaping an entire political party.  Not healthy to our country.

Novak Djokovic ordered to leave Australia despite receiving vaccination exemption to compete in Australian Open

Quote

Novak Djokovic had his visa canceled by Australian authorities Thursday morning and was ordered to leave the country immediately after being detained for several hours upon arrival at a Melbourne airport. The world’s No. 1-ranked men’s tennis player had flown in to participate in the Australian Open, for which he said he had received an exemption from a coronavirus vaccine requirement.

The Australian Border Force said in a statement that “Djokovic failed to provide appropriate evidence to meet the entry requirements to Australia.” Adding that the Serbian star “had access to his phone,” the federal agency stated, “Non-citizens who do not hold a valid visa on entry or who have had their visa cancelled will be detained and removed from Australia.”

On Tuesday, tournament officials and the state of Victoria, site of this month’s event in Melbourne, confirmed that Djokovic — the Open’s defending and nine-time champion — would participate, seeking his record-breaking 21st Grand Slam men’s singles title when play begins Jan. 17.

Not really, they are alive and well.  They don't talk about Trump much though and maybe want to deflect to other issues but they are far from silent as there are a few out there for them to harp on.

McConnell, "No party that would break the Senate can be trusted to seize unprecedented control over all 50 states’ election laws. The fact that many Democrats are this desperate for a one-party takeover of our democracy proves exactly why they cannot be allowed to do it.

They are almost on Fox News daily, slamming the availability of testing for covid and the border crisis.

I also disagree with Beerman that they are just going to lay low and let Biden crash and burn.  They are going to help him along.

Latest Tweet at 5:56 from Senate Republicans:    Biden said he'd shut down COVID. He didn't. Biden said he'd fix the economy. He didn't. Biden said no Americans would be left behind in Afghanistan. They were. For Joe Biden, 2021 was a year of broken promises."  They also had a press conference January 4th.

I don't blame them but disagree with both of you.

Of note on another topic we were talking about we got our daily update from administration today and they said covid patients went up another 60 from yesterday.  They said the majority (but didn't leave a count, so I'll take that to mean more than half) are in for other issues but happened to test positive.  They said they treated and released "thousands" of covid positive patients home from the ER.  They said the ones admitted for covid only overwhelmingly remain the unvaccinated.

Another one....LOL

"Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., who claimed last week that Republicans had "prolonged" the COVID-19 pandemic, was photographed maskless as he vacationed with his family in mandate-free Florida. California is one of the most locked-down states in the nation. "

Do you think that refusing to vaccinate for political reasons prolonged the American pandemic experience? Do you think that republicans across the country started whining about masks in March or April of the first year of the pandemic? Up here in Alaska the political conservatives still complain about masks.

No matter.  The article was an interesting bit of partisan drivel designed to tickle those partisan divisions that Fox has worked so diligently to develop in their target audience. Thanks for sharing.

California is the most lock downed state? I thought all states were fully opened.  Or is it the mask mandates.

I love the one that said we're "mired in a deadly pandemic."   It now suits them to be concerned about covid.

That's all a nice little deflection from the fact that elected Democrats are nothing if not raging hypocrites.  That wasn't new to the pandemic.  Just more for all to see. Apparently, Swalwell and AOC whine about masks too.

That's all article us meant to illustrate.  Nothing more.

You're welcome.

Probably a bit of an exaggeration.  They do have statewide mask mandates for indoors vax or not and proof of vax required for some events.
