Of course, like many other things the government subsidizes, this plan will make daycare even more expensive.

Medicare gives patients a bigger bang for their buck, I.e. they are more efficient at providing the service.

You didn't specify, but if this refers to my post FY 2022 began 1 October.

But the other factor is that Trump illegally diverted 2.5 million dollars from FEMA to build a wall that didn't last very long or serve any function; a wall built in spite of the Border Patrol requesting that it not be built in lieu of having the money go to tech solutions,
And again, how does anything done by Mr. Trump have any effect on current FEMA funding?

There were links provided which discussed how lack of childcare is having an impact on employment. Would you like to discuss those articles and how we might meet this caregiving need?
I thought this what we were discussing. My view is that Biden's plan will make it more expensive. You accused me of parroting 3am conservative talk shows.
I then gave a simple explanation as to why child care will be more expensive. Then linked a left wing site with a opinion that aligns with mine.
So, where do you stand? Biden's plan is sound?

You are asking me where I stand after you tell me that I've conceded? That's after you mischaracterize my comments as a habit..and now you are telling me that you haven't paid attention to what I've posted previously but now you're interested? Was my opinion a mystery?
Yeah, I think that working poor parents need help with childcare. Currently, they are getting child tax payments to help raise those families out of poverty. Those credits are at the end...one more payment. Republican lawmakers aren't very supportive of that either. Reducing the caregiving barriers for those families will help the adults to improve their economic situations.
I'm not sure I like the Biden plan. Like most plans to help the poor it might help the poor and the middle class will bear the burden of taxation.
Also the supply and demand economics will come into play making those that don't qualify for any aid pay higher costs. Again the middle class suffers.

The Biden plan doesnt raise taxes on the middle income tax brackets. It's our government's job to protect We the People from the tactics of unrestrained and greedy capitalism...
Maybe our politicians are not smart enough to figure out how to solve some of the people's problems which have been acceptably remedied in other wealthy nations. Maybe they are too caught up in partisan divides to govern for the people anymore. It sure seems and sounds like it. Or maybe it's just profitable for politicians when business gets a legislative advantage over the people.

It certainly appears that the Republicans aren't even trying to come up with ideas .

It doesn't raise taxes. But, like I said, and like the article both Tweety and I linked to says (I guess it was invisible to you all when I did it), it's going to increase demand without increasing, or possibly decreasing, supply. This will increase the costs and likely access for the middle and upper class.
I appreciate being pointed out that the Biden plan for childcare doesn't raise taxes. I was expressing my frustration as a heavily taxed middle class person (with no dependents) that the burden to support the poor parents falls of us. People with children get tax breaks, and the poor pay no taxes., the rich get tax breaks and cuts.
I think it bears consideration or at least acknowledgement the burden on the middle class as Beerman mentions. To some it might be worth the costs because ethically it might be the right thing to do. To me obviously it doesn't matter but to working parents who already pay high costs it does.

Yeah. Invisible to me. Because you said so.
It appears that the option republicans are offering up is to do nothing...not even talk about it or craft legislation that might address rising costs. Apparently if one can imagine that something might happen after an action is taken, our legislators are not capable of anticipating that something and taking actions to counter that something. It's a shame really.

I agree that if the Republicans are going to criticize the plan, they can make some better proposals.
Also it would be nice to stop the rhetoric.
