Ignorance of the intent or just following orders are common defenses for people faced with accountability.  My guess is that she's supporting Trump and his ilk to protect her wealth.

This really needs to be addressed seriously!

This needs to be seriously regulated because it harks of Hitler's attempts of eugenics! 

I'm worried that 'dodgy' characters with the money will use this science in unimaginable ways and create serious mutations that can be very dangerous to our futures! 

Republicans have already shown their levels of racism. Then you have the Chinese and Koreans manipulating their faces, eyes, noses etc. You have Westerners sculpting their bodies and posteriors etc. You have skin whitening people. And I can think of many more. All of these insecurities will be exploited! 

I absolutely believe in science, but I don't believe in this science. There are too many interacting genes, proteins and enzymes doing who knows what, to actually try this type of science currently. I think the parents who have strong hereditary traits of serious diseases should exercise caution, but I can easily see republicans seizing on this for their anti abortion stance and once more suppressing women's rights. 

I really don't think we are better as yet, on nature's evolutionary process re selection! 

And this is just begging for trouble from a type of science that is akin to experimental pathogens for warfare!

What do you mean, exactly?  How would Republicans use it as you claim?

Since republicans seem to exclude common sense or logic in their decisions, they could spin this science any which way and their stupid base would believe it. 

Remember Bush and fetal stem cells? How much science research was wasted because of ignorance? How many countries surged ahead because they didn't have an ignorant base to cater to? How many lives were lost or diminished through their moronic decisions?

Agree. I think one can have an opinion over this but liking it to Republican strategy is a stretch that can't be backed up.

Terry Gross today played an old interview with him today.  He was a down to earth and humble guy.  I have a friend who has multiple myeloma and vacationing in Alaska, spending time in a crowded bar...in a greatly unvaccinated state.  Guess he has a death wish.  He's fully vaxxed but can a multiple myeloma patient ever mount a strong antibody response?  That is living n the edge.

I wonder if Americans understand what they did exactly when Powell made his speech?

I don't think Americans remember or even care what the Bush administration and specifically Dick Cheney did to America on this day, because not only do we have short term memory deficits, but we are so woefully uneducated and lacking in morals, that so many American lives and Iraqi lives were lost, doesn't mean a thing! 

Thousands of our own people get murdered and our children as well every year and we obviously don't care about them because we continue to elect the party that allows it to happen. The majority of Americans continue to allow the minority to rule them ala Manchin and Sinema etc. My God, are there any other people that are so stupid? 

To this day my European cousins throw this in my face and we were all only about ten, eleven years old at the time, but it was so significant that we all remember it. Cheney got away with war crimes and mass murder so why shouldn't trump try to overthrow the elections without consequences? 

What a country? Gerrymandering, voter suppression, overt racism and misogyny and still the oppressed are so STUPID that they continue to vote against their best interests! From women to minorities, it's a complete embarrassment, but that's the point of minimal education, boil the water gradually and they will never step out until they are dead! 

The level of ignorance just never ceases to amaze me! And even more amazing is how loudly we demonstrate our ignorance without any realization whatsoever! Fighting over a chicken sandwich from some fast food chain like it's some sort of haute' cuisine. Believe me, this country is riddled with third world mentality woven into the fabric, from the highest level of society to the lowest!
