I'm so glad that I used that platform in a limited fashion before stepping entirely awhile back. Her testimony should give everyone some serious pause about the ethics of Zuckerberg's business model. IMHO
I didn't get to listen to it. It's good to hear her side. As far as his ethics go, it's capitalistic for sure, but also I guess a fine line between freedom of speech and responsibility. For a while I think there was a hands-off kind of approach, but then in the Trump and covid years this became kind of deadly.
Too bad. I enjoy FB and Instagram.

Her testimony reveals something beyond freedom of speech.

I agree, I enjoyed the individual connections but the other stuff is just weird and unhealthy.

States get that money one way or the other. If you don't pay a state income tax, they will just get their money in the form of another tax. Overpopulation always makes life more expensive:(
I pay my taxes through my escrow with my mortgage company and I think the "ambulance tax" you speak of is part of that. But also there are state and local taxes on the electric bill, the phone bill, and of course the utility bill (water, sewage, garbage, etc.), parking and toll roads, gas...on and on. They get their money.
Still, a goodly amount of the taxes are paid by the tourists. Hotel rooms in particular are taxed quite a bit.
I do like not paying a state income tax and I also like that they don't tax food unlike when I lived in North Carolina. But there is a state sales tax of 6% on other items and the counties tack on more.

Exactly what I am talking about re companies being regulated. facebook is the perfect example. I have been talking about the insidiousness of Zuckerberg for months as being single handedly the most dangerous man alive today. He's always been a total psychopath from his College days onwards and his ignorance and passive aggressiveness makes him even more dangerous!
Tesla threatening California. The list is endless.
Republicans are almost always in the pockets of big businesses who can then manipulate them as lawmakers to create rules to suit their needs and screw everyone else.
Just look at the chaos the two supposed Dems are causing now and both are deep in the pockets of big businesses. They will derail Biden's agenda and lose the midterms and possibly '24 if they aren't brought to heel.
This is why you need people like Elizabeth Warren, Leticia James, Stacy Abrams, Katie Porter, AOC, Jayapal etc who has a proven track record of going after big business to run things. I can't think of a single republican because they are all corrupt!
Our elected representatives should be representing us and not big business! We the people! Not we the corporations!

Or, does the government know what's best for us?
People ARE making their own decisions and choices about vaccination.

Yes, that's what you asked.

Vaccines has octopus type creatures in them, Satanism and Luciferians are running the world and he's 79 years old and this stupid! And republicans embrace him!
Shouldn't he be committed?

From your source:
QuoteNew Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu called for a state lawmaker who’s repeatedly pushed COVID-19 misinformation to be stripped from his leadership position after he blasted out an email to colleagues suggesting that the coronavirus vaccine contains a “living organism with tentacles” and darkens the eyes of newborns.
“I have repeatedly expressed directly to Speaker Packard about the need to remove Representative Weyler from this position of leadership,” the Republican governor said in a statement Monday. “Disseminating this misinformation clearly shows a detachment from reality and lack of judgment [emphasis added].”

That's probably true especially after this latest surge there was no denying the benefits of the vaccine. Of course this doesn't matter to Tucker Carlson and he definitely puts out some anti-vax messages, but I think the network as a whole, and even Hannity have not been against the vaccine. I mostly follow them online and catch only snippets when I'm with a patient or at the gym.
