What brand and model stethoscope do you have?

I had a Littman many moons ago but someone took it. Now I buy a practical one that it doesn't hurt *as much* to lose. I had several cheap ones go missing too....17 years is a long time. My current is a good one for hearing lung sounds and B/Ps, etc. It's one of those ones with the big, clear glass distal (diaphram) end with colored/varied designed pieces to put under thje glass for asthetics. :) Oh, and it is blue.

Cheap, heavy weighted diaphragm. So when swung at someone it really hurts. And if it breaks it doesnt hurt the wallet.

I had an electronic littman. I just couldn't get used to the sound of it..so I sold it on Ebay. I plan to buy the Littman cardiology I've heard so much about.

I wear mine around my neck. The oils ruin the tubing after awhile this way though.

I also don't wear it around my neck in parking lots after I ws told a scary story of a nurse getting strangled from behind.

Yes I have smacked someone in the head with an old Sprague with a nice heavy head on it. Served that person right also. Kept them from robbing me. Works well.

Right now I have a Sprague, and I HATE it! I just ordered a cheap one, so hopefully it gets here before my new job starts. I hope to buy a Littmann pediatric with my first or second paycheck, or ask for one for my birthday or Christmas.

I wore it in my pocket for about an hour during my CNA clinicals, and it kept falling out, so I started wearing around my neck. I saw someone do the lasso, and and I tried it out...now that is the only way I wear it.

LOL about the pictures - I carry a Littman Lighweight in purple (I see a lot of them now!) and I wear mine in the classic II pose! I had another littman - a classic II that is bent in the middle now from where I have had the same stethoscope for 6 years. Thanks for the laugh with the article zooz.... :lol2:
