I found out today that our nursing uniform is white scrub pants (or a white skirt), a white polo shirt and a white smock/lab coat that has to be worn at all times. YUCK!! Plus, the polo shirt is pretty thick. Can anyone say heat stroke. I'm gonna melt and look ugly lol.
What do you wear to your clinicals?
ours is an ugly white polo shirt with green scrub pants and scrub jacket; and not like the green scrubs that dr's wear, "hunter green" like the crayola crayon. it is very ugly, but hey you get to wear a lab coat. i would love that, i had to wear one as a lab assistant, they are so comfy. and maybe everyone will think that you are a dr, j/k!
Forest green scrubs with a school SN patch on the left shoulder. Any white shoes (most wear sneakers). Lab coats with school SN patch on left shoulder to be worn on certain occasions. All of the above will NOT be worn again . Last clinical day was Friday, graduation is Wed. the 15th. Needless to say, I won't wear green scrubs again.
Hunter green pants and a polo shirt with the logo, purchased from the book store. A lab coat is "optional", but recommended and an be purchased anywhere. Any all-white shoes we want (a little color is okay, but laces weren't mentioned!!).
We have 3 campuses to the community colleges here and each has a different uniform requirement.
ours is a navy polo with school name embroidered, khaki pants and any closed toe shoe for school, white scrub pants with white nurse's/tennis shoe for clinical site along with embroidered lab coat (which always gets too hot to wear with the running around we do) neither of the embroidered things will get worn again (maybe donated to other students when i'm done with them)... absolutely no hoodies in chilly classrooms, and only white underneath -- jewelry must be kept to a minimum and hair off the shoulders!

We look like smurfs, sans the funky hat. White pants, white shirt, white shoes, smurfy-blue jacket.
