What does your nursing uniform look like?

Published

I found out today that our nursing uniform is white scrub pants (or a white skirt), a white polo shirt and a white smock/lab coat that has to be worn at all times. YUCK!! Plus, the polo shirt is pretty thick. Can anyone say heat stroke.:o I'm gonna melt and look ugly lol.

What do you wear to your clinicals?

I would love to have solid color scrubs. Our school is royal blue top and white pants, white shoes, royal blue lab coat with school patch on the arm. Now at first I thought it was bearable, until I realized that the volunteers at the hospital that we do our clinical at wear the same colors!!!!!!

Our uniforms are white shirts that we had to buy at a specialty shop... 18.00 a piece, hate it! Navy blue vests, a white lab coat, navy pant scrubs, and of course, white shoes. All of my supplies (including the uniform) cost about 300.00 and I am still upset!!:flamesonb

white polo top, white pants, white shoes socks and now the awful part.....blue cafeteria smocks, yes, the same smocks that all the hospital dietary dept in this area wear . I've had a couple visitors ask me how much was lunch, can they please have ketchup etc

For clinicals we have to have white scrub top and white scrub bottom with the school patch on the sleeve. For community, psych, and patient pick-up we have to wear a white or navy polo shirt (with school name on it), khaki pants, and a white lab coat with the school emblem on the sleeve.

I'm starting in the fall and the uniforms are solid royal blue. with school insignia

Princess, I will be right there with you. White polo, white pants, white shoes, blue apron thing. :trout:

We have a white polo or button up scrub top with a tie on the back of it. I have an expansive rear end and hate tucking in my shirt so I went with the tie back smock....not the smartest thing I ever did. Blue pants that you have to order in because they are not a true navy blue and a Meta lab coat. The top and the lab coat have our school name and logo monagramed (sp?) in blue. Plain white shoes no clogs or croc's must have a full back.

I guess it could be worse :jester:

Galaxy Blue scrubs and jacket or a simple white jacket. After reading some of these post I feel blessed.

I know now our uniforms are going to be all white. In an earlier post I explained that another person who will be attending ns with me in the fall told me specifically that our school uniform would be white scrubs among other erroneous information. The only thing that person got right was the colour. Prior to that post I posted about our uniforms being all white and scrubs! Thanks for the tips because I will need them.

Good thing I did indeed check with the school Admin for the program I am entering.

It turns out our uniforms will be white and what they look like I have no idea.

We recieve all our information on the first day of school. That's everything!

That's not much time to get all of our stuff for school IMHO.

Our "wonderful" uniforms are a white short sleeved snap front top and hideous ceil blue tapered leg pants with sewn in seams and all white closed shoes. No exceptions!!!

White, white, and more white. Our tops are just regular white tunic scrub tops with the school's blue and gold patch on the arm. The scrub pants are plain white and shoes have to be white as well. Nothing is ugly and I can't really complain about the white yet (somehow I haven't gotten any nasties on my uniform yet). I find it all rather boring though so I jazz it up with my hot pink stethoscope and pink watch. :chuckle
