I found out today that our nursing uniform is white scrub pants (or a white skirt), a white polo shirt and a white smock/lab coat that has to be worn at all times. YUCK!! Plus, the polo shirt is pretty thick. Can anyone say heat stroke. I'm gonna melt and look ugly lol.
What do you wear to your clinicals?
in africa: in my schl we put on the conventional uniforms perharps inhereted from british colonization. a white straight knee llenght gown with convetional nurses white cap with coloured stripes and brown shoes.
on night duty posrting we are expected to wear white troses on white shirt with caps on. well wat do you think??? giv me a reply
At our nursing college the uniform is wine coloured trousers with a cream shirt inside and a matching wine coloured short sleeved blazer with six gold buttons down the front on top of that and a name tag with the college symbol, black shoes and socks...lol...yeah besides the fact that we totally melt coz the material is so hot people find it hard to believe that we're student nurses...once a patient asked one of my friends if we were management students doing a survey at the hospital....the embarassment!!!
Let me guess......you graduated from RSCC in Tennessee! LOL
Blahhh you guys that get to wear anything you want are lucky!! I have to have:white shoes (if it has color, it has to be a LITTLE bit of it)
white scrub pants
white scrub top
white lab coat --3/4 length
I went to a scrub shop yesterday but ickkk couldn't find any pants that I liked. I don't start class until Aug. 28th, but I just want everything done now! lol.
I have clinicals once a week and that's when I'll be wearing my white uniform. I have to buy one burgundy uniform for maternity rotation but that's the second semester (don't know if it'll be spring 2007 or spring 2008). Anyway! That's what I get to wear!
I don't actually have to wear a uniform for school because I'm doing my course via correspondence. I get to do my clinical at work so I get to wear my uniform which is a Navy blue fitted blouse with that has red diamonds on it and the company logo on my left sleeve, my name badge which has my full name and PCA on it (personal care assistant), Navy blue pants or skirt and Navy blue leather lace up shoes with no heel. And my hair has to be tied back which I usually put into a pony tail.

Any white scrubs. White shoes, no clogs or canvas. Our school nursing student patch on our left sleeve, on ID badge. White knee length lab coat with dress clothes for on clinical site days where we aren't doing hands on work.
