There's an interesting thread floating around here asking what topics members hate to see. I thought I'd switch things up with one asking what types of threads we actually like to read and respond to. (Please pardon that glaring grammatical error.)
Some of my personal favorites include the articles. These are often entertaining and almost always educational. I also love the real-life stories about nurses being patients, the ones about the positives of nursing, and of course the funny ones and the WILTW threads.
Anyone care to share?
Life itself is a reality check. I don't believe in sarcasm and telling others with less experience off. I think that only reflects bad onto the OP of the said post. Most experienced nurses should respect newer ones and GNs , take us under your wing, not throw us under the bus.
You have a lot of ideas about how experienced nurses should treat newer ones and GNs. How about some ideas about respecting the seasoned nurses you're expecting to take you under their wing? Unless you encounter some pretty saintly COBs, approaching with that attitude is going to be more likely to get you thrown under the bus than taken under wing. But if you show up and ask nicely, showing that you understand that you're more trouble to deal with than an assignment without a newbie instead of demanding your "right" to be "trained", you're a whole lot less likely to meet those mythical nurses who eat their young.

Giving someone a reality check is not sarcasm. It is pointing out facts and fallacies. Have you ever had counseling? That is a good example of giving someone a reality check.
I like the funny threads, the ones that catch you right in the feels, and the "why don't the floor nurses do my clinical instructor's job, plus cater to my every whim" threads.
I also love reality check threads.
"I keep taking narcs out of the Pyxis and wasting them without a witness, and now I'm being investigated. HELP PLEEEEASEEEE!!"
"Get a lawyer and stop diverting."
I enjoy Home Health and some School Nursing threads (when I can understand them).
I really enjoy threads where the OP asks for advice about titrating a medicine or some such procedure - I always learn from those. Someone will post a tip or a book title that ends up being so helpful.
Threads where the OP asks "I'm going into XYZ specialty - can you give me some idea of a typical day?"
The student nurse threads are always good for a skim.
In-depth articles about a specialty are great, too.
I enjoy the posts that have a patient that the Nurse is looking for input on from the other nurses on this board. I am always amazed and fascinated at the clinical knowlege that the many different posters have and how there are so many aspects to patient care. I think that is why the psuedo articles that disguise themselves as clinical facts frustrate me so much. I love nursing and respect the knowlege of my peers and do not like to see this disrespect to the intelligence of nurses.
This!! I love a good case study too!

"Nurses eat their young" was a phrase coined by someone who has since made a lot of money in writing and speaking engagements. It's a fallacy.
