Hey guys, I'm so glad that we all on this site trying to become nurses and giving each other advice in school and in the real world of nursing. I wanted to know what kind of Nurses do you guys want to become? Like what kind of specialty & if you're not sure, thats fine too :) i love hearing about the type of nurses people want to be!

Specializes in Critical Care.

I would LOVE to work in the CCU. If not that, then trauma, ICU, ED, or telemetry.

Greetings,

my first post!

im interested in gerontology.

Pediatrics or northern nursing for me!

That may change when I do some different placements, but for now it feels like everything else in my life has pushed me towards those. :)

After getting my RN, I would really be willing to work wherever I can find it. I am currently working in pulmonary medicine as a CMA and I am sure that I can get a job in the same clinic as an RN after I finish it. But when I get my Nurse Practitioner degree, I want to work in endocrinology but since I have been in pulmonary medicine now for 3 years I actually kind of like it, so I would also be open to pulmonary practice.

ER/ICU for me. I eventually want to get my Master's degree. I'm also open to Labor & Delivery

Specializes in Neuro/ ENT.
Specializes in Nursing Management.

Chief Nursing Officer!

I'm really and truly interested in pursuing Neonatal. :) It's emotionally trying, but I was a neonatal baby (2lbs) and without the dedicated nurses who took care of me, I may not be here to follow!

public health/community health nursing after some time in a hospital setting :)

Pediatric or school nurse :)

I am focusing on being an oncology nurse. I am a pediatric cancer survivor and I want to give back. I had some of the most amazing nurses and they really shaped my treatment and made it that much easier!
