  1. I've been in HH for 7 years I would never look back . Hospitals are overrated . Nurses or overworked and underplayed . The hype of working in a hospital slowly vanished out of my system when I saw my sisters did not have a life and I was getting payed twice as more . I have a life , I leave home when I want come back home when I want as long as i cover 5-6 patients a day . Our agency is not CHHA so yea no wounds , PICC lines , none of that only HH head to assessment and paperwork . I would never go to a hospital , period
  2. I'm in the same boat , I'm thinking of nurse aesthetic
  3. Don't be they will never fail you unless you kill a patient , Trust me I'm a daughter of a clinical professor
  4. This is why I left bedside nursing and 20 of my friends as well , times are changing , hospitals is all about politics , lay offs , budget cuts , overwork employees, underplayed and undervalued , good luck !
  5. NOPE! You can do better all by yourself , most of the time it distracts you and some Don't want you to succeed , stay focus on your own , the only person that will taking that NCLEX is you , not you & your study group
  6. Whatever you guys decide to do just balance it all &I make sure your happy
  7. Quit , take a break to think what you really want to do like I did and ended up in home care and I love it !
  8. You see nurses are overworked and underplayed , specially when it comes to floor nurses , I'm in home care , no CHHA by the way meaning no wound care, PICCs or non of that just head to toe assessments and sign up for health care services meaning aide at home I get Payed $42 per hour + 2500 in bonus at the time of higher I was an RN/AAS I just got my BSN a few months ago , only 3 years home care experience
  9. It will never be a happy balance , more money , more problems , trust me . As a minority , I grew up with low income , once I became an lpn, then RN, money just came and whent , budget is key.
  10. One word NO, now that I have worked in the field I would have done physical therapy
  11. I applied to the psych np program , anyone who is in the program , can u give all the 411 ? How is the program?how many weeks per class ? Are the exams via camera ? Any info is greatly appreciated ! Thanks in advance !
  12. Great post! Thanks everyone for such informative details! As someone mentioned Salary info changes by the minute it is vital to have continuos current information😉 so thanks everyone ! I have to say as an RN I get payed 80,000 my sign on bonus was 2500 , they reimburse mileage and tolls , I work in home health , NYC area , I'm shocked at this pay rates as an NP as low as 83000 a year , what in the world? That's scary 😐
