Hello Ladies and Gents,

What is one’s opinion if you see a man wearing a Dansko shoes?

I’m thinking of trying it out since I have been wearing running/sneaker shoes for the past so and so years now?

Danskos are the best! I see tons of men wearing them in healthcare (and as klone said, they're popular with chefs too). Get on the bandwagon, you won't regret it.

Unfortunately, I did regret it. So many people swore by them I did get on the bandwagon. Unfortunately my feet didn't like them at all. Just like with Birkenstocks, which are also loved by many many people. I think I just have weird feet.

But if OP thinks they'd work for him, only one way to find out.

It's true, I should have considered different feet. But for my high-arched feet, they are a godsend. Only complaint is that the shoes themselves are pretty heavy---my pair weighs in at 2 lbs. I occasionally switch it up with a super lightweight sneaker for balance.

They have a men’s selection. I used to love them, but switched to adidas.

Paired with scrubs, a man in Danskos is a man properly dressed for work. Unless the color is loud, nobody is going to notice your shoes.

I have never been less concerned with a topic than I am with the footwear a fellow healthcare worker chooses.
My dermatologist is a man and he wears them.

But hey... this got your attention ?

Surely they make manly Danskos? Mine are not manly, mine are made in the normal ladylike fashion ?

All jest aside, I do see the appeal. They are easily cleanible should a poor patient C-Diff on your shoes (I had a patient that came close while I was wearing Asiks... made me a Dansko believer).

Do they make a Dansko with a lower heal, or a larger size range? I'm sure they have a product that caters to men. Otherwise, you could order the traditional Dansko in a matte leather (but not tooled with flowers) version and I think it might look plenty masculine. I love Danskos, and you shouldn't have to suffer without them just because you're a man. so... if you can't find your size based on size specifications online, go into a shop that sells them and get sized. If you don't like their shoes, buy on Amazon or somewhere else that you can return, but your Dansko size is your Dansko size. But, don't let those uneducated dopes tell you it should slip and fall at the heel. It needs to slip a little, maybe, but not slip and fall. Get the size, and look at the styles on Amazon that suit you, whatever that might be. They allow returns easily if it doesn't work for you. I returned a pair of Danskos a month ago and bought the BEST pair after. Good luck!

Well, Dansko has an entire section of men's shoes, so of course not. https://www.dansko.com/all-mens-shoes

I guess then I'm wondering why the question...?
