What Is One’s Opinion If You See A Man Wearing a Dansko Shoes?

Hello Ladies and Gents,

What is one’s opinion if you see a man wearing a Dansko shoes?

I’m thinking of trying it out since I have been wearing running/sneaker shoes for the past so and so years now?

For me it doesn't matter. I'd start forming an opinion of a person that asked me this question though. But I'm an old crotchety bastard at this point.

My point exactly!

You just did it! ?✌️

I'm quite content to say that, hand on the bible, I have no idea what Dansko shoes are. I recognize the name, but wouldn't be able to pick one out of a line-up.

Well, they are sorta ugly (IMO) no matter who wears them, gender aside. But I don’t think any nurse should ever choose her shoes based on looks because protecting those dogs is WAY more important!

My opinion is that it ain’t my business and you should do what feels good for your feet, because you only get 2 of them to last you for the rest of your life ?

I say go for it! I have plenty of male coworkers who wear them, some of them with those Figs scrub skinny pants in a dusky rose color! I think they look great. But, I am in San Francisco ?

That must be quite a sight! Haha

Most people buy their clogs too small. You need to have bit of space between your foot and the shoe. Also if you have flat feet the arch support could be a problem. Danskos were originally made in Pennsylvania for equestians. I think they look great on guys.

I worked with a few male nurses that wore them - nobody cares or paid attention to that.

I have not witnessed that. I have seen people getting them way too big because there was a rumor for some time that you needed to get 2 fingers in the back when in reality the correct way to size them is to try them on and make sure your heel has room to lift slightly when you take a step. I think the number one reason people turn their ankles is the shoe is way to loose. If you can get even one finger in behind your heel the shoe is too big.

Who cares, if you like the shoe: WEAR THEM. I have them, and love them (I'm a male as well lol).

If they were comfortable I would wear them, they make me feel like it would be easy to twist my ankle, no support

It is! I stopped wearing them after repeatedly rolling my ankle. My husband broke his foot wearing his. They are made more for standing for long periods (chef, for example) and not for a lot of walking. So if you are very active on your unit, not the best foot wear choice.

I don't give a flying you-know-what about what anyone wears, especially not shoes. If nurses wanted to wear heels to work I wouldn't care as long as they can still do their job and run to help me in a code situation.

I have learned that demonstrating the sexual security and confidence to wear and do things that are not considered traditionally masculine is the ultimate form of masculinity.

A good example is the father allowing his daughter to paint his nails. It is like catnip for women.

Be secure in whatever your sexual identity is and be confident in yourself, nothing else matters.
