What are/were your holy grail resources to pass nursing school?

So I was just accepted to nursing school and I will be starting the program August 28th. My question goes out to all of you current and former nursing students, what are/were your holy grail tools to help you pass nursing school? Were there any books, websites, YouTube channel, etc. that helped you get A's? I've heard of several websites and a couple of books but I'd love to hear what you guys think are the best resources out there to assist us fellow nursing students to not only pass our classes but actually get A's!

I pretty much just studied lectures and never used the books unless I had to cite something. I will be honest and say some classes I just studied the night before and ended up doing pretty good overall. RegisteredNurseRN on youtube was pretty good - I would suggest. Khan academy was pretty good. I personally thought nursing school was easy for the most until you do group projects with people who do not want to do work or always finish their part of the assignment late. To me, that was the hardest part of school but just stay on a consistent schedule with studying and you should be fine.

Also NurseMendoza had a great video about ABGs which helped me a lot of all the videos on ABGs.

Like c0sm0 mentioned Khan Academy is great it really helped me alot. Also a good way to learn all the medical terms is to learn your prefixes and suffixes instead of trying to memorize every word individually.. if you have an Android this was the best app I found that has the most nursing related prefixes/suffixes.

Focus mainly on your professors power points/lecture notes. While in lecture- take notes on the printed out presentation slides. study those slides up and down after the lecture and if you have questions supplements with the required books for the class. Review your syllabus and make sure you understand the objectives listed on it. Make flash cards and stay organized using a desk calendar or personal calendar you can carry. GO TO OFFICE HOURS! Professors love to have engaged students and this is a perfect time to ask questions and have them get to know you (It can pay off for reference letters for jobs in the future) Download audio lectures on your phone and listen to them when walking to class, in the gym, driving on the bus, etc. BUT most importantly take care of you! nursing school is tough, but you can do it! Have fun, eat well, exercise often, and don't sweat the small stuff. You are learning and it takes time :) Best of luck!

Learn your notes word for word, record the lectures and then stare at your notes as it plays. dont move on until you understand the slide, and why the fact is what it is. If you read the book, if you have time for that, thats great, but do pay attention to the little boxes. Ive found that the main information comes from the first two and last sentence in the paragraph. If you work, dont work more than two days a week. learn to catch clues in the test questions such as what kaplan teaches and ati has some very good tips on that. google some free flashcards on whatever topic your on for the test. nursing school is about twice or three times as hard as your prereq classes, and 65% will fail most of the time.

also, if the teacher says something twice or stops to tell a story about it,,its a good chance it will be tested so put an extra check by it during the lecture.
