What color are your school's scrubs?

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

I just found out the other day that the LPN school I'll be attending in August requires TAN scrubs  I know this is just a silly post, so please don't flame me, but I was just wondering what everyone else wears? They really couldn't pick a better color than tan!?! I was so looking forward to wearing my uniform for clinicals for the first time, but now I'm sort of bummed.

Wow, I've never seen a school with tan scrubs. My scrubs for school are white. We have all-white pants and our scrub top is white with our school emblem embroidered in dark blue on our left chest. The tops are button down with a little bit of an elastic gathering in the back. The men wear white tops, too, but the traditional unisex v-neck style. I am an LPN student and at my school the RN students wear the same top with navy blue pants. We have lab coats that we can wear and they are a teal green color with the emblem embroidered on the left chest, too. We are not allowed to wear any other jacket or lab coat. If we need to wear something under the uniform it must be all white, too. We had to purchase all white all leather shoes (no open back). Tan might not be so bad. We were told we couldn't bleach our uniforms because it would turn them yellow and I'm not sure what the bleach would do to our embroidery. Ready for a gross story? A guy in my class was doing peri-care on a resident and she had a liquidy BM that sprayed all over his pants and down to his shoes... I bet he wished he had tan-colored scrubs that day!

at my school, the lpn students wear white tops with royal blue pants, and the rn students wear white tops with khaki pants. i wasnt too thrilled with it either!

I would not like tan either- not very nurse like....BUT! You totally have the advantage against stains. I hate the fact that my [white] uniform will eventually get dingy and riddled with stains.

For our clinical rotations we're required to wear white UNIFORMS (not scrubs) which I hate because I'm always looking out when that time of the month comes.....It's rediculous if you ask me why to wear white, but at the sametime it does stand out as far as who's nursing staff and who are the students....Now for our theory class we're dark navy blue with school logo on it...

We have white bottoms and royal blue tops. Not totally bad (I could do without the white bottoms), but what really irritates me is the STYLE we had to get. The pants are the "classic" (meaning HIGH) waist elastic band type. They are so uncomfortable on me. I would much rather a lower waist and/or drawstring.

Oh, and we are allowed to wear a white scrub jacket or lab coat. I bought both and rotate them. I'm one of those people who is ALWAYS cold, and since we're not allowed to wear anything under the tops, it's nice to have something over top of them.

In my school the scrubs for LPN students are dark burgundy. Not a bad color, but unfortunately it doesn't flatter my light complexion. I'll probably look sickly in them.

We have white bottoms and navy blue top. Like a previous poster, we also have uniform pants (not scrub pants). We are allowed to wear a navy blue lab jacket, but personally I never even bought one. I am usually warm and don't care for the itchy cuffs.

I'm not crazy about the white pants, but our uniform colors are well respected at local hospitals. So, in the clinical setting, I'm proud to wear navy and white.

Our clinical scrubs were ceil blue (the were very non-functional. The top only had one breast pocket and the bottoms had a hip pocket that everything fell out of and a back pocket. Definatly not enough pockets)

Ours had our school patches on the top and our jackets, which were also ceil blue. The uniform didn't wash well, and wrinkeled very easily. Everyone looked sloppy in them because they just hung like an old pair of oversized pajamas. The XS bottoms could have fit a person who normally wore a Medium! Needless to say those of us who normally wear an XS (me) had to have the pants hemmed, and I was forever tugging up my pants because they'd fall down exposing my bottom!! No matter how tight I tied the drawstring they slipped down! Even those with larger bottoms had the same problem. They just weren't made in normal sizes!

We wear white uniforms that have red and black piping. They are uniforms, not scrubs, and are with our school name/ID on them. I get told a lot in the hospital by nurses how nice I look and how good the group looks-the seven us together must look pretty crisp!

We have all white uniform bottoms. The top is a zip style top white with sailor blue trim. They look really professional.

We found out on the last day of core that the company who has made the uniforms since the program started has gone out of business so we won't be able to order uniforms until the first day of nursing classes. They may be a little different than in the past but we have been told it will be a uniform (no scrubs) with a dress option in white with deep blue trim and the school logo on the front.l
