I just found out the other day that the LPN school I'll be attending in August requires TAN scrubs I know this is just a silly post, so please don't flame me, but I was just wondering what everyone else wears? They really couldn't pick a better color than tan!?! I was so looking forward to wearing my uniform for clinicals for the first time, but now I'm sort of bummed.
Wel i don't have orientation until tomorrow but a student at my school basically told me that for clinicals we have to wear all white scrubs but aside from that we have the choice of wearing business casual attire to class (no denim, sneakers...basically nothing comfortable!) or wearing scrubs of our choice (any kind, style or color we want!). She said NO ONE does the business casual thing (who would want to for 8 hrs a day, every day for a year?) and that everyone wears scrubs. I find that to be pretty darn convenient!!
We have Navy Blue scrub tops with the school name embroidered in white on the left chest. 2 colors of scrub pants--tan for class and white for clinical. We also have white lab coats with the school name embroidered in blue on the left chest. The scrub tops have 2 hip-level patch pockets, and the pants have 1 back pocket and 2 cargo pockets. I don't wear the school-issue pants at clinical anymore because they have elastic in the back--no matter how tight I pull the drawstring, they creep down if I put anything in the pockets! I got similar cargo scrub pants from Jasco with no elastic, and I'm the only one who's noticed the difference. :)
