I just found out the other day that the LPN school I'll be attending in August requires TAN scrubs I know this is just a silly post, so please don't flame me, but I was just wondering what everyone else wears? They really couldn't pick a better color than tan!?! I was so looking forward to wearing my uniform for clinicals for the first time, but now I'm sort of bummed.
I'm orthodox jewish and wear skirt only, including my 2 years of NS. I also had classmates (nonjewish) who wore skirts as well. some people find them more comfortable. I wear them for religious reasons
I apologize -- I didn't even think about skirts being worn for religious reasons. I wear skirts on occasion in my daily life, but for physical activity, I feel that pants are so much more comfortable. Sorry for inflicting my own opinion on everyone!

apology accepted. don't feel too bad. i do own pants and shorts but i they are pj's and swim shorts respectively. if i had to wear pants in public i would feel kinda naked because of what i am used to. skirts were actually great in the winter because of the thick stockings i wore with the skirt. my classmates were frequently complaining how the white pants didn't keep their legs warm :)
(the one reason i can see pants greater than skirts is chafing, but i wear stockings all the time which does the job to prevent it)

At my school, we have to wear white tops pleated in navy blue with navy blue bottoms and COMPLETELY white tennis shoes(no exceptions even for emblems!). They look dumpy when you see one of us outside of the group, but together it makes us look really professional.
