I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

ha ha ha! Tweety it's okay..?
I seemed to have spun a spider's web with my comment.
Everyone please just relax and have a great weekend.
Beerman, it was not a personal attack against your beliefs.
Very odd. Let's see the bodycam footage.
"NBC News caused a firestorm on social media after it retracted its explosive reporting on last week's attack of Paul Pelosi.
On Friday's installment of "Today," NBC News national correspondent Miguel Almaguer went viral for stunning revelations of what apparently transpired when police arrived to Pelosi's San Francisco home.
"Sources familiar with what unfolded in the Pelosi residence now revealing when officers responded to the 'high priority call,' they were seemingly unaware they've been called to the home of the Speaker of the House," Almaguer told viewers. "After a 'knock and announce,' the front door was opened by Mr. Pelosi. The 82-year-old did not immediately declare an emergency or tried to leave his home but instead began walking several feet back into the foyer toward the assailant and away from police. It's unclear if the 82-year-old was already injured or what his mental state was, say sources."
According to Joy Reid, we're only aware of and know of the word "inflation" is because Republicans have been teaching us the word.
"Most people who would have never used that word ever in their lives are using it now because they’ve been taught it. Including on TV, including in newspapers, they’ve been taught this word," Reid said."

She deserves being mocked for this. It really makes no sense.
Republicans rightly are talking about inflation ad nauseam because it's going to win them the midterms. I was with a patient that had Fox News on all day and I heard them all about inflation over and over and over again all day in their mid-term campaign for Republicans, I mean news shows. Even when they talked about the jobs report and rising wages, they talked about inflation as the Feds were raising interesting rates.
I will say the general public seems to have a poor understanding of what the underlying cause of inflation is because people are convinced it's Biden and don't go beyond that.
Russia Reactivates Its Trolls and Bots Ahead of Tuesday’s Midterms https://nyti.ms/3NDcZ89
"Reactivates"
QuoteThe user on Gab who identifies as Nora Berka resurfaced in August after a yearlong silence on the social media platform, reposting a handful of messages with sharply conservative political themes before writing a stream of original vitriol.
The posts mostly denigrated President Biden and other prominent Democrats, sometimes obscenely. They also lamented the use of taxpayer dollars to support Ukraine in its war against invading Russian forces, depicting Ukraine’s president as a caricature straight out of Russian propaganda.
The fusion of political concerns was no coincidence.
The account was previously linked to the same secretive Russian agency that interfered in the 2016 presidential election and again in 2020, the Internet Research Agency in St. Petersburg, according to the cybersecurity group Recorded Future.
It is part of what the group and other researchers have identified as a new, though more narrowly targeted, Russian effort ahead of Tuesday’s midterm elections. The goal, as before, is to stoke anger among conservative voters and to undermine trust in the American electoral system. This time, it also appears intended to undermine the Biden administration’s extensive military assistance to Ukraine.
Designed to stoke anger among conservatives and undermine confidence in our democracy.
QuoteThe campaign — using accounts that pose as enraged Americans like Nora Berka — have added fuel to the most divisive political and cultural issues in the country today.
It has specifically targeted Democratic candidates in the most contested races, including the Senate seats up for grabs in Ohio, Arizona and Pennsylvania, calculating that a Republican majority in the Senate and the House of Representatives could help the Russian war effort.
The campaigns show not only how vulnerable the American political system remains to foreign manipulation but also how purveyors of disinformation have evolved and adapted to efforts by the major social media platforms to remove or play down false or deceptive content.
Apparently they've infested Parler and Gab and other places that attract conservative voices.
QuoteThese are much smaller campaigns than those in the 2016 election, where inauthentic accounts reached millions of voters across the political spectrum on facebook and other major platforms. The efforts are no less pernicious, though, in reaching impressionable users who can help accomplish Russian objectives, researchers said.
Quote“The audiences are much, much smaller than on your other traditional social media networks,” said Brian Liston, a senior intelligence analyst with Recorded Future who identified the Nora Berka account. “But you can engage the audiences in much more targeted influence ops because those who are on these platforms are generally U.S. conservatives who are maybe more accepting of conspiratorial claims.”
Many of the accounts the researchers identified were previously used by a news outlet calling itself the Newsroom for American and European Based Citizens. Meta, the owner of facebook and Instagram, has previously linked the news outlet to the Russian information campaigns centered around the Internet Research Agency.
The network appears to have since disbanded, and many of the social media accounts associated with it went dormant after being publicly identified around the 2020 election. The accounts started becoming active again in August and September, called to action like sleeper cells.
Quote“Since 2016, it appears that foreign states can afford to take some of the foot off the gas,” Mr. Perez, who previously worked at Twitter, said, “because they have already created such sufficient division that there are many domestic actors to carry the water of disinformation for them.”
Conservative Americans are now helping spread destabilizing disinformation. How nice.

Pretty sure we have a few of those. Seems a tad arrogant to assume that AN is all that important, but maybe it’s a kind of market research to see what’ll get the libs riled up.

I'm confused, how do Russian bots cause mistrust in our elections and democracy? And how would that benefit the Russians? Is this the same as the past Russian collusion in the 2016 elections that wasn't able to be proven? (Not saying they were not colluding, just not able to prove it enough to do anything about it).

Welcome new poster, who chooses to comment about Russian bots for your first post.
Actually, it was proven that Russians bots attempted to influence the 2016 election. "collusion" is a Trumpy term. Curious that you brought it up.

I'm sorry that you are confused. Welcome to AN.

Thank you for the welcome?? I think.
Are you suggesting I'm a Russian bot because I commented on a post about Russian bots?
I assumed that because there was not enough evidence, because there was no action taken. I would imagine that this evidence would have been reported extensively. Or was it they had evidence but not enough to take any action or impose accountability? Like when the courts have evidence and are almost positive that a crime was committed but cannot go for an indictment because there is not enough evidence to bring charges?
I'm genuinely interested. I don't know much about it. Why didn't they prosecute if they had proof?
How does one know someone is a bot?
Is the word 'collusion' exclusive to Trump? I have seen/heard it many times, many sources.
