I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.
2 hours ago, Beerman said:Yeah, sure. That's what you meant by a sniper. Still doesn't explain why your three sources and the family didn't use that term. And, a Google search of the deceased name and sniper turned up a bunch of left wing sites and a anti-police tik tok star.
Your explanation will satisfy a couple of your clapping seals, but I and likely a few others, know better.
You have a point about seeing the man getting beaten. Why not the 911 call? And, maybe body cam footage with him blurred out. You and I both support transparency, right?
"Clapping seals" eh? I suppose you feel like that is respectful dialog...
I have no problem with releasing the 911 call. I don't think that it included much besides cryptic words and background sounds that resulted in a welfare check at the home of the SOTH. No, I don't think it would be "nice" to see footage of the assault, even with the victim's identity blurred. The family will see the footage though, according to the reporting. It's easy to imagine that a FOIA request will result in public reporting of those things.
I absolutely support transparency. My posts reflect that reality.
You say this all as if you expect that the body cam footage would show evidence of an extramarital sexual liaison or some other unsavory behavior from Mr Pelosi that maybe ended badly. Do you think there might be some sort of cover up in this matter?
1 minute ago, chare said:As I said, in my opinion his comments were not in line with how I believe a current or former president should conduct themself.
Of course I could. However, as I was discussing Mr. Obama, not Mr. Trump, I don't think I will. And, as it is obvious that we have widely divergent thoughts on this topic, as I wrote earlier, we'll have to agree to disagree on this.
Yes... they were so out of line with how he should have conducted himself that you can't even recall specifically what you felt was out of line.
You misunderstand, I am not interested in you repeating one of the very many unacceptable things that Trump utters on a regular basis, the confirmation is more than adequate. Maybe next time Obama will say something unacceptable enough that it will stick in your mind long enough to talk about it with some specificity.
I can't know that we have wildly divergent thoughts because I really don't know what you thought was unacceptable in Obama's speech. We agree that Trump is often using unacceptable language.

Please, you of all people shouldn't be trying to tell me about respectful dialog.
I really don't care that much one way or another about the 911 call or body cam footage. It was a spontanrous quick reply to someone else's comment.
Predictably, you inserted yourself into that conversation to deflect from the embarrassment you've suffered today.
You've been exposed. You consume left-wing extremist media sources and let it shape your views of the world, and you spew out that nonsense to the rest of us. It's been obvious to me, but I didn't really care to invest that much time and effort trying to show that to the two or three folks here who give you any credibility. Today you made it easy.
After all the dozens and dozens of times you've dismissed the comments and opinions of me and other conservatives because we couldn't provide a satisfactory source to you, this must be humiliating. Well, it should be. But, of course to you it's not.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the attention today you so crave. Once again, you get the last word. And, I thank you for beginning and now ending my day with a laugh. Have a great night.
Moving on...

Criminal complaint reveals chilling details about Paul Pelosi attacker's plans
Quote
At 2:31 a.m., San Francisco Police Department (“SFPD”) Officer Colby Wilmes responded to the Pelosi residence, California and knocked on the front door. When the door was opened, Pelosi and DEPAPE were both holding a hammer with one hand and DEPAPE had his other hand holding onto Pelosi’s forearm. Pelosi greeted the officers. The officers asked them what was going on. DEPAPE responded that everything was good. Officers then asked Pelosi and DEPAPE to drop the hammer....
11. DEPAPE pulled the hammer from Pelosi’s hand and swung the hammer, striking Pelosi in the head. Officers immediately went inside and were able to restrain DEPAPE. While officers were restraining DEPAPE, Pelosi appeared to be unconscious on the ground.......15. In a Mirandized and recorded interview of DEPAPE by San Francisco Police Department Officers, DEPAPE provided the following information:
a. DEPAPE stated that he was going to hold Nancy hostage and talk to her. If Nancy were to tell DEPAPE the “truth,” he would let her go, and if she “lied,” he was going to break “her kneecaps.” DEPAPE was certain that Nancy would not have told the “truth.” In the course of the interview, DEPAPE articulated he viewed Nancy as the “leader of the pack” of lies told by the Democratic Party. DEPAPE also later explained that by breaking Nancy’s kneecaps, she would then have to be wheeled into Congress, which would show other Members of Congress there were consequences to actions. DEPAPE also explained generally that he wanted to use Nancy to lure another individual to DEPAPE....
Additional state charges have been leveled: attempted murder, residential burglary and assault with a deadly weapon in court today

QuoteMembers of the Pelosi family are expected to be able to hear audio from the 911 call Paul Pelosi placed to police and see body camera footage of officers who responded to his house the night he was attacked, a source familiar with the matter told CNN.
Pelosi placed a 911 call during last Friday’s attack after convincing the assailant to let him go to the bathroom, where his phone was charging, and he spoke cryptically to police. The body cam footage is expected to show what police saw when Paul Pelosi opened the door and his assailant attacked him with a hammer, fracturing his skull.

Maybe the 911 would be interesting to the public but seeing the body cam footage of him being attacked would seem like an intrusion to me. I hope it's not made public and if it is, I won't be watching.
Of course if it shows both men in their underwear having a dispute (with hammers???) and that he's a prostitute that would be cool to watch to prove there is a massive coverup that the police were lying about him saying he was there for his wife.

QuoteEarly on Friday, an intruder broke into the San Francisco home of Nancy Pelosi and bludgeoned Ms. Pelosi’s husband, Paul, with a hammer.
The shocking attack underlined fears about the growing number of threats against members of Congress and the woeful lack of security around those lawmakers.
Should we dismiss the rhetoric that led us here? Pelosi has been a target since she became the first female SOTH, demonized and vilified by political conservatives.

Coincidentally, the GOP became a very animated group when a black Democrat was elected president. The members of the GOP who tended toward racism and/or fantastical thinking and conspiracy theory became more vocal and agitated. The GOP formed the Tea Party to push against the totality of the Obama agenda...small government was the mantra. That populist movement that brought Sara Palin to the national stage is the precursor to Trump, in my opinion. Palin established that republican voters would cheer for made up nonsense and partisan hyperbole. Those voters moved on to embrace Trump and the MTGs and Herschel Walkers in conservative politics... all while they ignore obvious lies and disqualifying character flaws or lack of qualifications for the positions among a host of candidates.
Trump was elevated because right wing media had filled their consumers with grievance and animus during Obama’s presidency. That's how the right wing authoritarians manipulate populations of countries that they want to control... fear, animus, grievance...common enemies among disparate groups... it's well documented in history (some of it recent).
Trump wasn't elevated because the economy was bad, Obama had corrected that economic trend line... he was elevated because a black president wanted to provide affordable health care access to all Americans... that was much too much for the GOP. They don't want government big enough to see to the health and general welfare of the citizens, they want government small enough to fit into a uterus or medicine cabinet. Well... they want the part of government that isn't devoted to the military to be small.
Yeah...Trump was elevated because the conservative voting base was angry. They are still angry and now their anger would even topple democracy to try to make itself feel better... and that is quite okay with authoritarians among the GOP leadership. These are perilous times.
Let's GO! TMB... Standing Ovation (hats off to you)???

All the students deserve a environment in which they can learn. I would imagine this behavior would distract from that for both the one acting out, and her classmates.
School is also a place where kids learn to act as a functioning member of society. Do you think acting like a cat is going to help that student do that?
My brother was a middle and high school teacher. There is no way he would have put up with that behavior in his classroom.
It's a political issue because this is example of how liberals tend to want to capitulate to a individuals rediculous behavior so that we don't hurt their feelings or so that they can feel good about themselves. Often at the expense of everyone else. Your attitude about this being an example.
Being concerned about this doesnt mean that one isn't concerned about school safety.
I agreed with you until you threw all the liberals in there and said it’s what is expected. I think a lot of people would agree that we expect classrooms to cultivate a place of learning.

How you gonna have a concert that your fans paid bookoo cash to see, as concerts are seen as a great escape from reality, and bring a politician on stage and expect people not to trip. Stop it Beerman. That ain’t right. People are allowed to be upset.
On 10/31/2022 at 8:32 PM, Beerman said:Maybe so. Maybe because whenever Obama or his policies were criticized, it wasn't because it they bad, it was because he was black.
Even today, a poster up above says that Republicans were angry because "because a black president wanted to provide affordable health care access to all".
The truth is, everyone wants affordable health care for all. Conservatives may have disagreed on how it was to be done, or even angry. It had nothing to do with him being black.
So, yes. Four years of being of being labeled racist made conservatives angry and divisive. And, then the continued Democrat narrative of everyone is a victim....gays, women, minorities trans, etc are all victims of conservatives and their ideology. That also fuels anger and division.
You are right. It all may have started with Obama being elected.
It has everything to do with him being black tho. And I don’t care if 4 years of Obama fueled conservatives because they were called out on their BS. Try 400+ Years of rape murder torture. Actual bodily harm perpetuates by a conversative belief system

It wasn't people at the concert that were trippin. It was others, online, who were offended so much that they are no longer going to buy Luke Bryan music or watch American idol.
Here is concert goes reaction:
What exactly "ain't right" that you think I should stop?
