I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.
I based a piece of my rant above based on an article I read recently in NPR about surveys that that as a majority and dominant force in the United States Christianity is on the decline.

Food Supply Disruption Is Another Front for Russian Falsehoods https://nyti.ms/3f1OcNO

The link doesn't work and besides I've used up any free views and can't read NYT anyway when I searched for it. Can you elaborate what Tucker Carlson has said?
It is well known that disrupting "the bread basket of the world" which is Ukraine has had devastating effects on the world's food supply. Russia can't deny that.

Yeah...I reported the link to NYT.
QuoteDisinformation experts agree that there is a main driver for these falsehoods: Russia. Propaganda from the Kremlin, they said, has bled into right-wing social media chat rooms and, occasionally, into mainstream conservative news media like Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program.
QuoteIn July, Mr. Carlson hosted a right-wing Dutch philosopher on his show to discuss the uprising in the Netherlands. “Messing with the food supply tends to cause food crises, and then famine,” Mr. Carlson told his audience in a segment that presented the farmers as heroic. “You’re seeing this in the developing world thanks to climate activism and the war in Ukraine.”
Mr. Carlson added, “We should be worried with the big things. And the food supply is the biggest thing.”
QuoteLeah Bray, the acting coordinator of the Global Engagement Center, a division of the State Department that tracks misinformation and disinformation, said that both in peacetime and now in wartime Russia has used “information manipulation as a weapon to bring about its desired political ends.”
These efforts, the center said in a recent report, have so far been concentrated in the Middle East and Africa, where food shortages have been most acutely felt. And, the report added, the conspiracy theories have spread through Kremlin-controlled state outlets such as RT Arabic and RT en Français, as well as through Chinese state media.
Ms. Bray said she was especially concerned that Russia would manipulate similar emotions this Winter, when energy insecurity is almost certain to increase. The intent of the Russians, she added, is to pit Western nations against one another in a blame game over who is responsible for the shortages.
“Russia is going to use these tactics more broadly to seek to erode Western unity,” Ms. Bray said.
With the invasion of Ukraine causing an energy crisis across Europe, the European Union has proposed mandatory electricity cuts, among other measures.
If these ideas have been rather slow to take hold in the United States, that should not be seen as a sign that they won’t soon expand their reach, experts warned.
“There was a long lag with QAnon, too,” said Denver Riggleman, a former intelligence consultant and a staff member for the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol who has worked with the Network Contagion Research Institute. “Then all of a sudden — boom. And that’s what I think we’re looking at here.”

QuoteTrump’s spokesperson asserted that the rally melody (the one that prompted the one-finger salutes) wasn’t the QAnon anthem “WWG1WGA” — but rather a totally different song that just happens to sound exactly like it.
okay then...
QuotePolice found a loaded .40 caliber handgun and ammo on him. Stawovy allegedly told police he was "undercover" and he was "working to restore Trump to president king of the United States." He said he was armed to "kill Democrats and liberals" and to protect himself from "drug traffickers." Investigators got a search warrant and found two more guns in his car along with 62 rounds of ammo.

You just can't make up this kind of crazy.

So, the NYT found a expert who disagreed with a expert who appeared on Carlson's show? Shocker. I wonder why the NYT cares so much about Tucker Carlson?
It certainly is feasible that the food supply chain is vulnerable.
And, about the agency the NYT expert works for:

Anyway, I wouldn't bet a beer one way or the other on which one is right.
Re food supply: My oldest son is insistent that their is a global food shortage partially due to Ukraine war and countries hoarding food for WW3 after watching mostly Youtube videos. So he has amassed 4-6 mo. food supply.
While Chef son who orders food 2-3x week disputes this fact. I keep shopping list and stockup during sales and seasonal change items -- like I have for past 45 yrs. I bought 10 boxes Beef and Chicken stock as only $1.00 each and use several/month only to be told no room for them on basement shelves --go figure, so sit on my kitchen counter.

I had a friend, may she now Rest In Peace, that when Obama was elected was convinced we were headed for WWIII and she overstocked items, and dehydrated and canned and had food for a year.
My frugal best friend is like you. Always has been even though it's not a necessity as he sold a paid-for home for a tidy sum and inherited $100K from his aunt and has decent money in the bank and investments. He looks at the flyers and sees what's on sale and stocks up. His shelves and refrigerator are always overflowing.
I need to be more like that but I buy more fresh fruits and vegetables than shelve items so it's a bit tough to overstock. But when things I buy like dog food or other items go on sale I'll overstock a bit. I also have an over abundance of things I can't live without like coffee and toilet paper. Inflation is hurting me more than food shortages and I consistently overspend my allotted budget and dig into other areas of my budget like savings to my emergency fund or travel fund. (Middle class struggles I know).
Some countries like Egypt eat wheat bread with every meal and it's supplied by the Ukraine. They are hurting.

I'll admit that I'm biased because as a boomer gay man that lived during a time when there was no treatment for HIV/AIDS or prevention and tens of thousands of young vibrant gay men my age died.
Also my attitudes for sex is not tied to a religious dogma. I've always had a libertarian view in that consenting adults should be able to do what they want to include prostitution, Media, orgies, open marriages, hang from the ceiling upside down. I don't care. It has no affect on me what you care to do. Like wise what I do isn't affecting your religious practices.
But I look it at like this. A person goes to the doctor and has high cholesterol (not hereditary) but because he likes Taco Bell and McDonalds and there is no hesitation, he gets the medication. Yes he's asked to change his lifestyle some but he still gets the medication provided by an employer covered health plan to prevent a heart attack. But what if I employed you and took you to court and said "it's against my morality to eat animals and to provide you with medication you got from eating animals and you need to follow my lifestyle which is a whole foods plant based diet to lower your cholesterol."
Vaccines were free to people that didn't social distance or wear a mask.
A young gay man that wants to be responsible and protect his health from a what still is a deadly and costly disease, and religious people name a disease a moral failing and lose their minds to the point they take it court.
I will admit that gay men probably are having a lot more sex with different people and multiple people again like we did in the 70's than your average heterosexual, monkey pox spread is showing that. But so what? Is that a moral failing. It's only sex.
STDs like chlamydia, genital herpes, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, Human Papillomavirus (HPV), syphilis, and trichomoniasis are preventable, but you don't see these organizations going to court to stop prevention and treatment. You don't really hear much about the moral failing of young people having sex. Health Departments even provide treatment and information for free.
I don't get it. Oh wait.....
It amazes me that those who say "f-your feelings" are so offended by what I do in the privacy of my bedroom. You're free too feel that way. No problem with me. Idf it is a against your religion, fine, but that's where it ends, f-your feelings is you want to take it court.
I do think that we are getting to an age where "religious freedom" is going to make it's mark. It's no coincidence that Christianity is loosing it's place as the dominant religion at a time they want to legislate us.
