I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

Kind of puts the pearl-clutching dismay over declining populations in a whole new light. Not to mention the fights over reproductive rights.
nursej22 said:Actually, you made more posts about DJT's private parts than anyone.
And there is zero chance I would be in front of a BON. And they are appointed differently than a grand jury. Your analogy is like comparing apples to orangutans.
Your posts are all the evidence needed to demonstrate your naivety.
I didn't even know about the Media star describing his genitals until I came on here LOL. It was Heron or whatever that keeps brining them up.
Your assumption of my age, intelligence and naivety are a blatant example of your ignorance. This is a anonymous forum. You can't possibly know anything like that about me. This is a blatant demonstration of ignorance. And a lazy way of attempting to discredit someone because they have a different opinion. Unless you have delusions of grandeur as well.

Are you suggesting these children would have been better off if aborted?

I don't believe I made any reference to your age or intelligence. I could make an educated guess that I am likely 30 years older than you, so naiveté can be relative. I know some very intelligent youngsters.
I base my opinion on your naiveté on your posts, lack of knowledge of legal procedures, and grammar. If it makes you feel better to label me as ignorant, then you do you. Yes, I have been accused of thinking I am smarter than others. But I often am.
I am not trying to discredit you because we have different opinions. I am trying to point out that you have posted factual errors and that perhaps you should research your facts. You tried to discredit me by proposing I would be investigated by the BON. Not bloody likely.

This article points out how complex migration really is. It's so much more that building a wall. Ideally, families could enter, so that adults could work and children attend school.
I have interacted with a few unaccompanied minors as a part of my job, and their sponsors are quite interested in assuring school attendance. As far as I know...
But there many food manufacturers and processors in the area who are always looking for workers.

No. Please tell me what "factual errors" I have posted?
I only made reference to the BON when I asked you if you would feel comfortable with a jury forperson like the person we were discussing. Not suggesting you would or should be investigated by the BON. I know nothing about you or your practice.
Perhaps it wasn't you who has made reference to my age or my intelligence based on my age.
People who think they are smarter than others often do not learn anything new. And end up being on the ignorant side.
Presumptions get you no where. What is it you base your apparent 30 years on me?
Media organizations demand Jan. 6 videos McCarthy shared with Fox News' Tucker Carlson
February 24, 2023 / 4:45 PM / CBS News
QuoteA group of media organizations, including CBS News, is demanding access to a tranche of surveillance and police videos from the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the Capitol that U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy provided to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
In a letter to congressional leadership Friday, the media companies argue the footage McCarthy allowed Carlson and Fox News to access should be made available to other media groups.
The letter was sent on behalf of CBS News, CNN, Politico, ProPublica ABC, Axios, Advance, Scripps, the Los Angeles Times, and Gannett.
"Without full public access to the complete historical record, there is concern that an ideologically-based narrative of an already polarizing event will take hold in the public consciousness, with destabilizing risks to the legitimacy of Congress, the Capitol Police, and the various federal investigations and prosecutions of January 6 crimes," wrote attorney Charles Tobin....
Philadelphia Inquirer Opinion columnist, Will Bunch:
Kevin McCarthy is no whistleblower. He and Fox News are criminally covering up Jan. 6
Quote...Kevin McCarthy is not a whistleblower. He is not exposing governmental malfeasance, but extending and advancing a criminal cover-up of what really happened on Jan. 6, the date of an attempted coup against the U.S. government. He is (probably) risking nothing in leaking the footage, but rather hoping to gain even more power by currying favor with extremists at Fox News and within the Republican Party. He is displaying not courage, but cowardice....
In the days and months following the 2021 insurrection — in which thousands stormed and successfully breached the U.S. Capitol in a violent effort to prevent any peaceful transfer of power from Donald Trump to incoming President Joe Biden, leading to the deaths of five people and scores of injuries — the far right has mounted a relentless campaign to argue this wasn't what it looked like....
..."Now that the CCTV videos have been released to one member of the news media – one whose program is categorized by its own network as opinion programming – they must be released to the rest of the news media as well," Tobin wrote...
...The network founded by the late conservative impresario Roger Ailes cannot be considered a news organization, in the sense of broadcasting facts and producing "sunshine,” but as more of a racketeering outfit. It launders GOP lies and creates a delusional mass public — partly because of a shared ideology but mainly for TV ratings and the vast wealth that has made Carlson and his colleagues multi-millionaires. It's a deft plate-spinning act that will now be perpetuated by Fox News' selective editing of the Capitol Hill tapes...
Fox reporting will begin broadcasting January 6 videos next week.

I hate having to use my data looking at Fox programming.

Oh what a complicated web the Fox and Republicans weave for themselves because they can't handle the truth. It certainly won't be worth the time and effort the come up with a new safety egress plan for the people in the White House. What a mess.

Me, too. I was a both a Fox viewer and a fan of talk radio back in the day. (Approx. 1980 thru 1998-ish.) In the beginning, although I disagreed with much of what I heard, hearing the reasoning on such outlets helped me to think things through. Over time, the reasoning became difficult to find as the commentary became more and more mean-spirited and hostile - hostile towards me, my family and friends, the people in the beds and working beside me in the publicly funded hospitals where I worked, and my neighbors in the communities where I lived.
I've said here before that listening to Fox, et. al., is like walking in a hailstorm without a hat. The non-stop sneering, disrespect and misrepresentation so prevalent on Fox is now my touchstone for spotting junk media.
I haven't watched a Fox outlet in over 20 years and never will again.

So well said. I remember being on a ladder in the 90's painting outdoors listening to Fox radio when he was the new guy in town (1996). Already he was badmouthing drug addicts as scum, etc. I was working with drub addicts at the time and knew right away that I was listening to a fool. Of course, he was mum in 2003 when Rush L. got arrested. But the commentators over the years became more unhinged to the point that I couldn't listen to it for more than 5 minutes. I was always in my car when I discovered the largest holes in their arguments. Fox is one of the worst, most cynical things that brought America down. Murdoch had no pretentions to resembling a journalist; it was pure money-making.

No, they don't. And as far as immigration is concerned, I don't think it will.
