... ABC News has reported shots fired inside the building and CNN reports a woman is in critical condition after being shot in the chest on the Capitol grounds. Virginia is sending the National Guard and 200 state troopers to Washington DC at the mayor's request, Reuters reports.
Earlier, Congress members were forced to leave the building, leaving gas masks on their desks, as the Capitol went into lockdown in response to the invasion...

Both Cruz and Hawley needs to be arrested for insurrection and sedition. Trump is simply too stupid to even bother with. This is the individual who advocated bleach and sunshine as cures and he wasn't kidding. He needs to be removed NOW from the presidency before he does more damage.
My tax dollars pay and support that white house and I want my money back! The costs of repairs and police presence etc needs to be tallied and Trump needs to pay the costs before he's sent to jail.

Agreed! Trump Terrorist were not treated as BLM protesters for social justice would have been treated had they even came CLOSE to the Capitol Hill building.
Cruz, Hawley, and the others that facilitated the incitement of this riot by supporting Trump, a whacked autocrat, and his crazy supporters (who are definitely domestic terrorist and traitors of this country), need to put a fork in their political careers! Freshman Rep, Cori Bush D-Missouri spoke on MSNBC sharing your exact thoughts, that if it were blacks/brown people protesting on capital steps,they would have been immediately arrested and removed, not gotten chance to breach capital building.
She introduced legislation to sanction/remove legislators who supported contesting battleground states' electors,
There will definitely be hearings on Capital police laid back approach to handling protestors, especially since huge rally with Trump edging on attendees, NOT PREPARED.

I think the violent rioting trespassers should be arrested, charged with a felony, and if proven (by eye witnesses, photos and video) lose their right to vote.
