Vanderbilt University PMHNP Fall 2024

Hi! I wanted to network, discuss, and share with others regarding MSN (RN) applicants for  MSN Fall 2024 program.  I applied for PMHNP by priority deadline and am awaiting admission decisions! I was wonder what everyone's GPA is looking like or if anyone has experience with the application process?

I just graduated from the VUSN AGPCNP program, but as far as the general application process goes - you should hear from financial aid in January or from admissions about generic admissions things. My cohort (as well as midwifery, FNP, PMHNP, and others) were all notified mid-Feb if you applied by the priority deadline (which I had done). They give you about a month to send in a deposit/commitment response. The deposit is $500 and goes toward Fall tuition, too.

The PMHNP program is well-regarded. You've made a great choice!

Hey Kela!
So glad you've created this thread! I'm also applying to Vanderbilts MSN PMHNP program for Fall 2024. So nervous and excited! My GPA at my ABSN is 4.0 and my undergrad GPA is around 3.5. Do you have any clinical experiences in psych?

Did you submit already? I've finished my application but I'm too anxious to submit. I'll wait till tomorrow to build myself some confidence and affirmation hehe.

I did. I submitted back in August when it opened. I hate the waiting game. I got an email the other day asking if I would consider clinicals OMTA. ?

wow.. I was hoping we would hear before or by mid January the latest considering the deadline was Oct 15th. I know some people in the past have found out decisions in December as well..  seems like everyone has unique experiences in general with admissions at every school which makes it exciting yet frustrating at the same time.

I also applied for Fall 2024 PMHNP at . It's my top choice, so I didn't apply elsewhere yet. My overall GPA is a little rough given a slow start right out of high school (many years ago), but my two B.S. degrees were >3.75. I do have mental health experience and when I'm working acute care I request the patients with psych issues because I enjoy working with them so much. ? I am anxiously awaiting the decision because it will determine what I do career-wise this year. The wait is excruciating!

Good luck to you! You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders :) assuming you applied before 10/15, we should be hearing on or before 12/15 :)

Thank you! I did apply before 10/15 but didn't realize they gave decisions that early, so I'm extra excited now. Good luck to you also!

Hi everyone!

I applied to PMHNP as well. Hoping we hear back this Friday!
