UTMB Spring 2012

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

Congrats to everyone that just got in. I'm wondering where most people would want to live. the island or league city area?

Well am planning to staying on campus the 1st semester...but I do look forward to staying in an apartment....but is just the fact that I don't know one yet that I rather meet ppl then get an apartment.....what are u planning on dng??

League City might be the best option for being in between! But I haven't made up my mind just yet! I'm still screaming from being Accepted today so idk!

My friend and I were talking about accepting our invites to UTMB and we wondered... What happens if you accept an invitation to a college and don't end up going? Like you decide you don't want to go anymore, etc.

What brought it up was this: I vaguely remember someone from another UTMB thread I had read from previous semesters saying they had accepted their UTMB invite, but ended up going to another school... How does the school handle these situations? Anyone know??

Btw, I had 3 friends apply plus myself for Spring 2012, and so far 3/4 are accepted! :) We are very excited.

I interviewed this morning and got an acceptance at 4pm! I also have 3 other friends who were accepted before me :)

I was thinking of league city initially, but I have a 1yr old and a bit worried about childcare and distance to school. we also have to consider clinical sites as well, I don't know if staying in Galveston would be a better option. I need suggestions :confused:.

Has anyone heard if they still have more interviews to do??? I still hqve a friend who hasnt gotten an invite :(

From last semester I believe that people are still accepted even during orientation so if other people who accept don't end up going, the slots will be filled by the first day of class. Congrats everyone!!

Well is probably one of those situations they would want to be in....I say that cuz they want to have the spots filled in...and if someone decided not to go I believe they replace them with someone else...I believe that's the reason people are saying that some got accepted after orientation......I don't think is that bad on the student just on the school itself trying to get someone new again
