Nursing care plan - nursing diagnosis help
He said he's taken a lot of nitro in the past and it used to help, but not as much anymore.... that's what he told me. he said it seems like the morephine helps more now, but he didn't end up get either... and he didn't want the morphine by the time I get back. I agree with your "at risk" stuff being put last just because it's not an actual problem as of yet... but that's what our professors want us to do.

Nursing care plan - nursing diagnosis help
Hello. I'm struggling with my nursing diagnosis... I need 3 and I have come up with these: 1. Activity intolerance r/t decreased tissue perfusion and decreased oxygen delivery to cells AEB patient's subjective complaints of dyspnea with exertion, dizziness, and fatigue. 2. Risk for ineffective tissue perfusion r/t surgery: stent placement in the right coronary artery. 3. Knowledge deficit related to diagnosis and treatment AEB patient being unable to verbalize his medical diagnosis, the importance of treatment, and medication therapy. Here's my patient's med history: Stable angina and coronary heart disease, Hypertension, hepatitis C, Wilson's Disease.. He just had a stent placed 36 hours ago and my instructor said the most important thing to look for after a stent is placed is ineffective tissue perfusion.... she said that would be the #1 nursing diagnosis but I don't know if what I have is correct. He was having chest pain when I assessed him 7/10, but he's been having worsening chest pain for the last 6 months, I think that's part of the reason the stent was put in. Can someone help me understand how to write the tissue perfusion diagnosis? I've been looking for hours and I feel like what I have is wrong... and also is it "risk for?" or should it just put ineffective tissue perfusion? Also, wouldn't a "risk for" diagnosis be below activity intolerance because it's still a risk and hasn't necessarily happened? Thanks for the help! - Gemini

UTMB Fall 2012
A heads up to everyone who has taken the HESI (for UT HSC) and has not yet taken the TEAS... The TEAS is MUCH harder than the HESI.. The hesi is a joke in my opinion compared to the TEAS.. I did well on the TEAS, but it took a lot of studying.. I had to go over old material and random material and you still don't know what to expect... there were a lot of ***** moments while taking the TEAS because the material is just so broad. just my opinion.

UTMB Spring 2012
I'm pretty sure botony does not count. So really the patho class you've already taken is what satisfied your elective science.
-
UTMB Spring 2012
Oh so Botony didn't satisfy your elective science, Patho did? I took patho last semester and I had already taken botony before so I was like oh my god... I didn't need to take patho? lol

UTMB Spring 2012
How was your class Botony? They said it can only be Patho, Chemistry, or General Biology.

How do you know which schools are the most prestigious?

UTMB Spring 2012
Ok, all I care about is getting Pell Grant. I'm not going to submit my parents tax information because it will say they make too much for me to receive anything need based, but it's complete BS because they have about $100 left a month after bills. I wish they would account for that kind of stuff and realize that just because you make X amount doesn't mean you can afford thousands of dollars for school..... I literally thought you meant you can't even receive pell grant if you don't submit your parents information.

UTMB Spring 2012
What do you mean you won't be considered for institutional money because your parents won't provide their financial info? Are you still able to get Pell Grant? I thought you don't need your parents financial info to receive pell grant?

UTMB Spring 2012
Punky, do you spend majority of your time on the island? I'm just wondering if it would be more beneficial to live closer to school because you are there more than anywhere else. I'd like to avoid driving far if possible. If I had to drive far once a week, I'd still rather live close to the school... but if I'm always driving far, I'd want to live a little bit outside of Galveston.

UTMB Spring 2012
My friend and I were talking about accepting our invites to UTMB and we wondered... What happens if you accept an invitation to a college and don't end up going? Like you decide you don't want to go anymore, etc. What brought it up was this: I vaguely remember someone from another UTMB thread I had read from previous semesters saying they had accepted their UTMB invite, but ended up going to another school... How does the school handle these situations? Anyone know?? Btw, I had 3 friends apply plus myself for Spring 2012, and so far 3/4 are accepted! :) We are very excited.
