This thread is dedicated to the applicants of UT Houston's Spring 2012 application period. I've seen various threads posted throughout the discussion forum regarding the upcoming application period, but they are scattered and hard to keep track of. Maybe if we keep our discussion in one place it will be easier for us all to follow :)
I'm applying with the following stats:
Pre-req GPA: 3.21
Science GPA: 3.66
Overall GPA: 2.81
I know my chances of getting in aren't great with my overall GPA, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway! Please post your stats, your thoughts, your experiences, ideas and opinions here:)
Still no update on my transcript showing "not received" on UT Link. I e-mailed someone today about it, and am hoping that it is just because they haven't had time to send me an eval. I spoke with a coordinator awhile back that said they had it. I also have receipts from my institution that should help.
However, directly under all that mess it shows my college and current gpas. I don't see how they'd have that info without my transcript.
Tay, are you currently enrolled in classes? Mine reads "Not received" also, but that's because I have 3 classes in prog. When I got my transcript eval, it was accurate.
@Mag28, Look at your "holds", how many do you have? If you have the usual 2, then you are still waiting like the rest of us......if you have more than 2.....I think you have been admitted!!!!
Just in case anyone still needs their CPR, the Junior League provides the course for free. They have it either all in one day on a Saturday or divided between two days. I had my first class last night. :) I know some of the classes are full but a few classes are still open.
I'm not sure....I've never noticed it before. Maybe mine has been updated? idk....I still have the usual 2 holds though. I don't really expect to hear anything till the end of October.
My UTLink doesn't say that. It says "BSN in Generic Nursing, Your file is incomplete. Some admissions documents are not yet on file."
It says that they haven't received my TSI status or my transcripts, but my transcripts are listed below with my GPA and my TSI status is at the top of each transcript. I've called about this several times and they just keep telling me not to worry and they can see that everything is OK on their end.
Katy, are you still taking your prereqs? That's the only reason your admission file would be incomplete- because they haven't received your final transcript. If UTLink shows a reasonable GPA, and especially if you've received a transcript evaluation from them, then don't worry about what UTLink "says" it has received.
For the people whose UTLink says "Pending..." I'm guessing they done with their prereq classes and have submitted their final transcripts. Anyone with a "Pending..." status still taking prereqs?
