Hey Everyone, I am currently a student at UTHSC, first semester. You can look at the Spring 2012 for stats etc but the stats of those that were admitted and denied varied. I remember the waiting game and trying to guess how my stats compared but in the end there is no way to figure it out. Like I said the stats were all over the place. You obviously have to do well but even a 4.0 or a high hesi score isn't a guarantee from what I have seen from other posts. :) Our class has all ages, nationalities, many with degrees and advanced degrees. We have some with alot of experience in health care and some with none. We had 90 at the beginning of the semester but a few have dropped. The accelerated used to be shorter but now I believe is the same length so not sure what the difference is except you have to have a Bachelors to apply to the summer. There were something like 800-900 apps for the spring. Not sure how many they have apply for the accelerated. Though we have quite a few with degrees in the generic. Someone said there were 1600 applications for the Spring this year.

Just FYI....There are all races, all ages, and both men and women represented in the Spring class. :)

guruamrit....did you get into UTHSC and somewhere else? What have you decided?

Anyone that has just recently found out that they have been accepted needs to go to UTHSC SON Class of May 2013 on Facebook. Lots of info.

Hey GoldenBeginnings....there is a ton of info on the FB page so get that account asap. I was wondering where you were! I am from your CPR class I believe. And yes....there are a few on FB that are still trying to decide between schools. Everyone hang in there!!!!

Yay OUTERSIM!!! Look for the UTHSC SON Class of May 2013 on facebook. I do not think they are close to being done. We have about 34 or so students on the facebook. Not sure of the exact number because some are current students. I know not everyone is on facebook but I believe there are more hold changes to come!!!!

Just FYI...there are 29 people on the facebook page and a few of those are current students. I know not everyone knows about the facebook page but there are a lot of spots unaccounted for. I hope they do some more updating soon!!! Hang in there!!!

I agree with taylorxteddy.... tomorrow there will be some more good news!!!! Katybusymom and Amymit, I would think they would think that older students are really serious and would be good students since they would want to do this all over again!!!! Hang in there!!!!!!

amby, I called the health services office and they said I would be ok if I had the series started. I will have 2 shots before January. You can call and verify but that is what they told me.

I agree with UTHSH2012!!! There are going to be a lot of hold changes tomorrow and through the week!!!!! I believe from previous semesters there were just a few at a time that were changed. There were also folks who were on the wait list that got in. So the fat lady hasn't even warmed up yet!!!!

Hey Chris, I had 19 hours of prerequisites I was working on this semester. Just finished 2 classes but have four more so I don't think that is a factor. I was worried about that too. And I had medical experience a long time ago.

I took the hesi once. But I think I remember some from last semester who took it twice to improve their score and got in.
