hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.
Can't wait to hear from others.
OK...UT called me today and my friend who also had the same problem as me and they said that they have given our files to the admissions comittee. I asked her how long they would be doing interviews so I know a round about of when I will be coming in and she said they are doing interviews until the end of the month.

End of the month? seriously?!?! i was hoping they'd be all finished up by mid october so we could have them by early november since most other schools will have letters going out by then. november 15th is just ridiculously late seeing that orientation is on december 10th! hopefully they'll finish up the interview sooner than anticipated.
yeah they told us the end of october also, but i was hoping they changed their minds and decided to get the letters out earlier. i'm just being anxious...
me too! i wish we could have walked out of our interview and been told yes or no THAT DAY! i thought it would be better after the interview, because then i'd just sit and wait, but i'm MUCH more anxious now!
Well I had my interview today and I have to say that it was pretty painless. And they said that we should have an answer to admissions in 3 to 4 weeks!!!! The group today was pretty small, I was in the middle of the group to be interviewed and there were only like 6-10 after me and I went in at 210ish.

3 to 4 weeks??? thats SO much sooner than i expected! yayyy!
I like to stay positive, but don't give your hopes up! haha. I'm waiting for mid-November, if it come early, sweet deal!
My feelings exactly! Although I am the opposite of some, now that the interview is over with I am much less anxious. I guess it comes from knowing I have done everything I can do to the best of my ability so... *fingers crossed* Hoping to be taking classes with you folks in January!
Also, does anyone else have FINALS the day they are doing UT's orientation??? If I get in, I'm not too sure what to do about that... I have my micro final that day!

The first time I called I spoke to someone immediately. I told the girl my problem who didn't know what to do about it and put me on hold. After a few minutes she came back on the line and said she'd call me back later in the day. I wasn't called back and spent the next 3 days trying to get a hold of anyone who would look into it. I also emailed the registrar and was emailed back saying that it sounded like a serious problem and that I should call them about it
So on about the 3rd day I made my 4th attempt call of the day to get someone and told them my situation and they go "oh you're the one with that problem"... and so the guy says "you haven't taken microbiology yet", to which I replied "...i know that, my question is about all the other classes", to which he replied, "you have to finish microbiology"...and we kept up like that for a bit. It took awhile awhile to get him to understand but he finally did and I told him all the classes that were problems. I made sure to have all the course names/numbers ready as well as the semester/year that I took them and also a list of the AP tests I took and where they could be found on my transcript (the first page...). The guy said that he would email me when it was fixed. I got an email the next day saying I was given credit for chemlab, 6 hours of history, 3 hours of english, 3 hours of politics, and whatever else I can't remember.
