UT houston spring 2010 hopefuls

hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.

Can't wait to hear from others.

I don't know if mine has said that for a while or not, but I just noticed it today, so I thought it was new! LOL! I thought it meant that my app had gone to the admissions comittee for review, so that means the ball is rolling, so to speak. That's all. Like, finally, they are looking at the applications!

I would email them too Emag. I think they told us at the info session that you could repeat whatever, but that they look at how many repeats and Ws you have on your transcript and that factors into their decision. I still think you are probably ok with your 2 repeats.

CJ Barnes- yes it is nice ot know the end is in sight huh? I am going to find out about the repeats and let everyone know. I am so thorough its annoying but I hate surprises and not knowing whats around the corner. Thats why I got so irritated at finding out waitlisted people had already been admitted. I want to know EVERYTHING thats on the table so I dont kid myself into thinking everything is fine when in fact its not ya know? Details details details

I have never seen that policy and i went to two information sessions and read the website like it was a Dean Koontz Novel!....I wonder why they buried that info?? That would be good to know before paying that $50 bucks and getting all emotionally invested in this roller coaster ride...

Yes! The end is in sight! Light at the end of the tunnel! I realize we are weeks away from a decision, but I am SO busy this semester that the time will probably go by very quickly (well, hopefully it will!) I was very upset about the waitlisted people as well, so don't feel bad. If I don't get in I'm going to assume one of them got my spot, that should make me feel better lol.

Does anyone know where they allow shadowing for nurses/PAs/NPs?

cjbarnes- I thought I was the only one that noticed that update. I was excited as well...that means I was not forgotten. My GPA has not updated though but at least there is progress. I really hope we all don't have to wait until mid November to get an acceptance letter. I believe I saw that date earlier in the thread.

Its definately mid-November. We were told in the information session and also in an email I received just a few days ago that they mail ALL acceptance letters ON November 15th, after they have reviewed all the applicants.

I think it was late-sept/mid october we get a letter about interviews. i think they start interviewing sometime in oct through probably the first week of nov.

I might be a little paranoid but I just retaken the NET this Saturday and Im worried that they are using my old NET scores rather than the one I just taken cause it takes a week for the scores to be sent to UT eekkkk.

I would call them and see if they can put a note in your file.
