UT houston spring 2010 hopefuls

Published

hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.

Can't wait to hear from others.

im still waiting to know what classes I need to take, or what class did not qualify for transfer. Its kind of weird they are taking sooo long as I applied way back in July. Most schools send me everything I need to know to and what I need to take, haven't heard from UT about anything.

That does seem kinda strange that you have not heard anything yet Hung, but I could imagine they have so many transcripts to look through that they might be behind. Through my conversations with others, UTHSC seems to be everyone's top choice. Like I stated earlier, I have heard nothing about my transferable classes either.

If you are missing a class, HCCS offers a 'Ready When You Are' program of core classes that start at the first of each month and last about 5-8 weeks. These classes are also completely online. Not sure if this is of any help to you but maybe someone else might benefit if they find out later in the semester that they are missing a class.

Hung-

Can I call you this evening? I sent you an email but I bet it went to your junk mail because I never heard back from you.

lol, send me another email again, [email protected]. Yeah I never saw it, but I'll keep an eye out for it.

ok go c if you got the one i just sent

Does anyone have confirmation from UT Houston regarding the last day they will accept NET scores for the Spring 2010 App.? I think I saw someone post 9/15? I'm retaking it Friday but no one from the school has responded to my email regarding the last day they will accept scores. Thanks!

HI, i see Buterflykiss said something about community college. I was wondering if anyone knows about Houston Community College- Coleman and if you already have the pre-reqs done can you do nursing school in 2 years there?

From what i have seen HCC only does an Associates degree in Nursing. I also believe the prerequisites are much different to get an AS in Nursing. You are correct in the time frame. Their associates degree takes 2 years as well. I say go for the BS if you already have the prereqs.

hi, ya Im interested in the the BS. but cant seem to find a list of the prereqs on their website. THe site doesnt seem to have too much info. Do you have any lcue what the link is to view the pre-req list for HCC?? Thanks!

I'm still waiting on my letter as well.

I just received that letter today... I'm not sure at what point they send the letter, but I sent my transcript a while ago (almost 2 months ago) and they just recently posted the correct GPAs on utlink. it took forever!

Specializes in none as of yet, hoping for ped oncology!.
