  1. Have you considered relocating?
  2. They called to schedule an interview but I already accepted another offer and finished all my paperwork, wished they called sooner
  3. Budget? Rent apartment or buy a house? Do you mind commuting? You probably won't be in traffic cause the time you start work anyways. A little bit more info would help.
  4. just wait until you have to do your charting on admission and assessments, my friends working there always complain about it when we get together. And yeah med admin sucks especially when you have to freaking call and verify bunch of meds constantly cause you can't read the scribbles.
  5. well if it helps you even more, keep in mind Anderson doesn't have computerized charting which really realllyy sucks lol
  6. I applied to the first posting that had the March 31, 2013 deadline. But received no calls. I applied again hoping I get a call.
  7. its the same one, I guess they reopened those applications again
  8. thx, I interviewed last Thursday with a panel of nurses. I'm trying to follow up but not sure who to contact because they don't post contact info to their HR department online -_-. I was told a decision was to be made either last Friday or Monday (today) but I haven't heard back and not sure who to contact really.
  9. Its all the same at the end of the day the new test is just increase in certain percentage of topic (1%). But the content are still the same its not like they added in some new nursing content.
  10. Hi, I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this hospital? I'm from Houston and have an interview for their GN position with their trauma department. I like to know if anyone is working here and can tell me a little bit about the hospital? Or about the Christus organization as a whole, it'll be nice to hear first hand experience about the organization. I have a couple of job offers for GN position in Houston but they're either med-surg or psych. Trauma is my passion and I am holding off on those offers and I really want this position in Corpus even if I have to relocate. Thanks.
  11. I am in the exact same position as you are. Graduate and passed NCLEX and trying to do extra certification to help me land an interview lol. Im from Houston too. I would stay away from online courses cause they aren't accredited by AHA and thats what hospital look at. You have to be in a 2 day class for 6 hours and skills check list which im dreading.
  12. I cleared my inbox
  13. Don't be so worried about the new NCLEX, my friend used Kaplan Q banks and Trainers for her 3rd attemp on NCLEX April 2 and she passed. She said it wasn't any different from the previous NCLEX that she took and Kaplan helped her passed.
  14. I recently applied to the Northwest and Kingwood GN location hopefully I get a reply soon.
  15. the PVT works I took my Nclex on March 28, 2013 and had the same popup and bought the quick result just to make sure and it said I passed.
