A few months ago I posted a thread titled "Exasperated..5th rejection?!." Well, I took some more classes while applying to two more schools. I had resigned myself to working full-time through August and getting an assoicates when I really wanted a bachelors degree (so I can get a masters easier in the future). One of the schools that denied me admission referred me to a school that just happened to have open seats past the deadline date. I had given up hope of hearing from them, because, well, classes start tomorrow. BUT...the dean of nursing called me Saturday evening to offer me a spot in the nursing program that starts tomorrow. TOMORROW!! No time to really be prepared and experience the anticipation and excitement. But I'm still SO excited. I just wanted to share my update with everyone and wish them luck!

My first day was great, as was today. My professors are really nice; I will meet the last one tomorrow. The course load doesn't seem bad at all. We just went over the basic intro stuff, so the only hectic part was financial aid, registration, parking, etc. I got my stethoscope and bp cuff today. How funny is it that that purchase made my day? Thanks for all the support!
