I hate it when teachers send a student down or back to me with a note saying, "They were crying in class" AND THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO TEARS AT ALL IN MY OFFICE.
Or coughing. The last one who came to my office "coughing his head off" did not cough once in my presence. I noted it on his pass and sent him back to class. I could see him reading it as he walked away...he stopped...coughed once...and walked away.

Hahahahaha! I love that! When a kid is so so so so sick and I buy it and the parent is on the way... Then at some point during the 30 minute wait for mom/dad, I point out that all symptoms seem to have disappeared... then all of a sudden they come back with a vengeance and there is moaning and clutching and one hand on the garbage can.
