UC Davis New Grad Residency Fall 2020

Published

Is anyone planning on applying? Application period opens up April 29th. I am curious how it will work out with unit placement when so many programs in CA did not get to finish their preceptorships.

They just asked me when I was free next week. I picked Wednesday, but it could have been any time next week so between 4-9 days.

I am curious if your application status changed in the website?????

It still says application under review.

For those of you who also applied to OR program, I think they are starting to go through those applications as well. My app status changed to under review. There doesn't seem to be a separate thread for the OR program.

Mine changed to "Application Under Review" today too. I applied but my SR. Preceptorship was in Trauma. I would like to do OR, ER, or Trauma. ?

The waiting is exasperating! And can be a little crushing.?

Does anyone know if they hire New Grad Nurses for the ER?

They hired 1 into the ER last cohort, but it is very rare. It was their first new grad in years.

Yeah, that's a slim chance then. Where can I find all that kind of info? We are the whisper network on here! Ask a question and someone knows. ?

All I know about peds (from a friend who works there) is that they like to take students from sacramento who did their senior practicum at UCDMC on the peds units.
