UC Davis MEPN 2020

Hello everyone!

I did not see a thread for UC Davis MEPN 2020 start so I thought I would start this since applications open up next week ? has anyone written a personal statement? I can't find any specific guidelines for what to include

Yeah I think someone from a previous post said April 15th? Was the deadline to accept. So I'm thinking we won't get notified till after too

@Kp5 I chose Davis because of it's mission statement (leadership, serving underserved populations, etc.) reputation, location, and how I felt when I visited the campus. I visited and applied to USD, UCLA and University of Arizona. I have really enjoyed the program so far, it's a perfect fit for me and my goals! Every school has a different culture and values it's important to chose what resonates with you best.

Did anyone receive any emails from Davis regarding COVID-19?

I haven't, but I know they like all UC's and schools right now are online classes till end of month for now.

I wonder if we'll hear anything after 4/15 when people have to accept their spots...

I'm seriously of the mindset of just let me the f*ck into school already. I want to be helping.

They are doing their best to put my cohort online which is an incredible amount of work while trying to start the admissions for the new cohort. Be patient, also even as students we cannot help directly with COVID in any way, leave it to the experts, you can help by educating your community about social distancing and washing their hands and protecting those at risk. I hope they update you soon about your status but please be patient and understand we are all trying to navigate this unprecedented time together ?

thanks for mentioning that. I was going to come on here and check if anybody had any updates about the waitlist. I’m so anxious about it ?

Yeah I have a feeling we’ll be like previous groups that got no news...

Before you guys responded I emailed them and this is what they said:

Thank you for your continued interest in our program. Unfortunately there are no updates at this time. If your admission status changes in any way, we will be in touch with you immediately via email.
