Hello everyone!
I did not see a thread for UC Davis MEPN 2020 start so I thought I would start this since applications open up next week ? has anyone written a personal statement? I can't find any specific guidelines for what to include

Hi hockeystic,I'm so glad you started this thread! I'm also planning on applying to UCD MEPN this year, and I'm super excited! I've been drafting a general "why nursing?" base PS, but will tailor it more once the application opens. Will you also be applying to other programs as well? ?

Thanks for starting this thread! I also plan on applying during this application cycle. However, I am struggling with finding a class that covers their communications requirements to complete by the end of this summer. Do you mind sharing which classes you took/ and where in order to meet the (group) COMM course? For my personal statement, I'm focusing on "why nursing" as well for now.

Hi ? I actually applied to Sierra College because of the location, and I am thinking about applying to Samuel Merritt as well but haven’t taken the HESI yet. You?

Hi Haron717, I took group communications (Comm 3) at Sierra College and interpersonal communications at Sac State. I don’t remember which one they required but one of these will fulfill it. They also have a contact email where you can ask them specific questions and they have gotten back to me within 24 to 48 hours in the past ?

UCD will be the first from my school list to open their application. I plan to apply to mostly public schools like UCSF, UCLA, and UCI!

I'm in a similar boat! To satisfy their group requirement, I'm planning on taking a 5-week-long interpersonal communications course at San Diego Mesa College! I echo what @hockeystic about taking advantage of their contact email to make sure a course will qualify. ?

I got my BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise and movement sciences at SFSU
Thank you all for your suggestions. I contacted UCD and found out that I already met the COMM requirements! :) I majored in Public Health.

Do you think you will have your transcripts for this course before the application deadline on 8/1?
