UC Davis MEPN 2020

Published

Hello everyone!

I did not see a thread for UC Davis MEPN 2020 start so I thought I would start this since applications open up next week ? has anyone written a personal statement? I can't find any specific guidelines for what to include

Last week I noticed UCD updated their website with the 49 incoming students to the MEPN class of 2020. Seems that decisions/acceptances might already been made...

Class of 2020 is the graduation year (the current cohort that I am in) not the year of entry

I just received the email. I am off the waitlist and accepted to the upcoming cohort. So excited. Don't give up hope. Good luck!

Oh nice. CONGRATS! Figures crossed for the rest of us

CONGRATS!!! Hope it's more good news for the rest of us!!

Hi MEPN 2020-2021! This is my first time replying on here but I figured that adjusting to remote learning means meeting all of you "remotely"! Although I knew that remote courses for the Summer were a possibility it was still very disappointing to receive yesterday's e-mail. However, I understand that it's important to stay flexible. Some Q's I still have and if any current students know the answer or future students have heard from leadership please let me know!

What will clinical rotations look like? (Will we be in the community/hospitals or just practicing on campus?)

At the least, I think that leadership should host an online Q/A forum for us to have a place to voice our questions and concerns. Anyone else in agreement?

All good things!

Have you joined the FB group for the admitted students? The current cohort has been really helpful in answering my questions ?

It is a bummer that first semester will be done remotely, but seems like the program has a plan in place to make it work.

We had an online zoom session with the director and incoming students (I'm a current student), join the facebook group UC Davis MEPN Cohort 5 for more information! We will be happy to answer all of your questions.

Thank you! What’s your first name so I know who to look out for?
