Published

:cry:I,m back again, well it has truly been a while, currently studying again for #4 in the old layout. I was told i have only 7months left. If I do not complete I have to do the new layout. I really don't want to do that. I even switched jobs to have more study time. I wish I could finish by at least Sept. I have to complete NCs4,5,6,7 that's all. Any suggestion of study stragies anybody. Ps, P read everyones post everyday, really pushing to finish.

I am in the same boat as you! Trying to be done with those tests by end of August. Block out time each day to focus and study! I know it's hard and it's very easy to get distracted! Scheduling tests helps me and of course, take the practice exam!

Good luck!

I gotta agree with erinp, there would be times i could find "something" better to do then study, but when I scheduled the test, it gave me a cutoff date to get it done and most important didnt want to pay again, good luck, your almost there and then you can be on the cpne wait train with the rest of us:yeah::yeah::yeah:

Same boat too....I'm currently studying NC4 in the new curriculum, I'm trying to finish off by Sept. I'm hopefully trying to beat the FCCA, that I hear will be starting in Oct. If I'm not done by then then I would have to wait to take two parts of the FCCA before applying for CPNE.

It's hard, so hard to stay motivated when someone is not telling you, you must do this. I have scheduled a test before and ended up losing my money because I got so laxed I completely forgot about my test date. It felt horrible to throw $200 bucks down the drain, that won't happen again. When are you planning on taking NC4 Motivated? I'm planning in the next week or so finishing up the cancer stuff, then I plan on taking my second practice exam. I score 69% on the first one hope to get much higher than that on the second. Keep me posted.:D

Whatever you guys do, just stay focused and aim to finish. Look at the light at the end of the tunnel!!!! I know it's easy for me to say since I'm not in the boat yet, but sometimes you just need that little push and encouraging words so, DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a good score! I bet you could pass it if you took it next week.

Hey, if you are under the old layout. Do you have to finsh all the test and CPNE before sept 09 or can you be on the waiting list for the CPNE. I never really have seen a right answer for this. I thought EC told me you have to be on the wait list to avoid the FCCA. I could be wrong though so many things are running though my head. Thanks and good luck on your test... Kallie

it is my understanding that you just have to be done with the theory exams. now if you are not done by the deadline i thought you had to start all over again... am i wrong here?

According to that letter they sent out, you have to complete the theory exams (NC1-7) by September 30, 2009. Doesn't matter if you've completed the CPNE or not. If you don't complete NC1-7 by September 30, 2009, you have to complete the new exams that correspond to the old ones you didn't complete, plus the FCCA, then the CPNE. So they don't really make you start over with the whole curriculum; they will transfer credits for the older exams.

MotivatedLPN, is the issue that your enrollment period is almost up? That's what I was thinking from your original post, because 7 months from now is around February 2009, not September 2009 when the old curriculum is completely phased out for everyone.

I'm pushing to get done under the old exams also. I've only competed NC5 and I'm scheduled for NC1 next month. That will leave me with NC 3, 4, 6, and 7; I'm pretty confident that I'll be through with those by the September 2009 deadline. Are you setting a deadline by scheduling the exam before hand or are you trying to study material and get the info under your belt then schedule the exam? I find that scheduling the exam first gives me a goal to work toward. :twocents:

Lunah is correct, only thing that will get you is there is NO test in the new curriculum that corresponds with NC3. So....you wil have to take 2 exams in its place regardless if you have passed NC3 already! I am with the rest of you, I take NC4 tomorrow and then I have NC 5, 6 & 7 left. Wish me luck, this has been a hard one for me!!!
