  1. RN_Student14 the mgr. for 5A is wonderful and kind hearted. You will do well. Keep an open mind and jump in and don't be scared to ask questions. Will you be days or evenings? Also make sure you learn the basics to EKG strips so you will be able to transition to the tougher ones. This is a plus with the senior staff and monitors.
  2. Thanks Lisalis, I am working on the preceptors now. I will keep going.
  3. Hi Ronchelednik, thanks for responding. Well, you bring up some valuable points. Did you go here to with your wife? I wish I had a better support system.
  4. Hi all, I wanted to know has anyone almost completed South's FNP program. I am currently in the FNP online program. I have completed 2 classes. I don't know if it is just me. But will this be enough to function in the real world. I was considering trying to transfer but I don't think at this point that would make any sense. The schools are so difficult to get in. Plus a lot of deadlines are already gone for schools in my community, in Georgia. And another issue is preceptors. From what I gather this is of a more serious problem in online schools than the brick and mortar school. A lot of places that I have already checked out refuses to take any students that are solely online. What do you guys think.
  5. BeezyRn I was reading your post about the assignments. What kind of presentation you had to do and was this web based.
  6. Thanks zmansc for the advice. I have some resources but of course the need to add is grave for the future. I just hate to wait a lengthy time on a preceptor.
  7. Sorry for just now responding my schedule has been crazy. At this point I will be going with Chamberlain because they have more resources in the metro area than South. Also I was waiting on GSU letter but I have to move forward at this point.
  8. Yes, I will definitely do that now. Thanks for the input.
  9. I was wondering if any online NP students in Georgia had major trouble in finding preceptors timely. I am trying to decide on attending South University or Chamberlain NP program. Both programs require you to find your own preceptors and I would really hate for this to have me graduating later than expected. Please share your input.
  10. hi everybody, i need to ask this question. I notice different solutions are now in question. I am getting confused now. Are they saying that NO one can be endorsed? And have anyone else received there license?
  11. Hi angeliaj37,i understand your frustration. But the problem is that kaylium is not a part of ec. I know they told you that before you signed. Please read your contract. Try to look at it this way. You did business with kaylium first, maybe contract or straight pay. Legally they can not offer you a rn license from ec. The other thing is when did you start with them. Now if it was after 7-01-08 , why did they not tell you guys of the situation? And i know you do not want to hear this, but again your dealings was not with ec direct. Thank god you receive some money back. A lot of people are being debited from their accounts. You will have to get with kaylium for any arrangements because legally they provided you with a service. They can sue you for breach of your contract if you signed one. Wish you luck.
  12. THAT IS GOOD NEWS!!! I WONDER WHY CASE BY CASE BASIS WAS STATED. IT SEEMS THAT MAYBE THE LETTER HAD TO BE WRITTEN A PARTICULAR WAY. I DON'T KNOW. JUST WONDERING AT THIS POINT.:heartbeat
  13. Hello everyone, I received a E-mail today from EC stating that we should all write our government officials. It also talked about 3new board members replaced 3old ones recently by the Gov. It also talked about hearing this case as soon as possible. My computer will not allow me to post the E-mail. If some else have it please post the second one with all the address on it.:heartbeat
  14. I spoke with EC again today, same old story. Also if you guys do not already know, if you are on a repayment plan for yearly SSF or tutition, the payments should be on hold until Jan. I called FACTS and they stated that Nov. will not be charged but Dec. is scheduled, no note in system. I will F/U on this. So everyone please double check with FACTS because EC told me something different:heartbeat.
  15. Was this statement from the governor's office confirmed? I did not see this. If someone can tell me where to look. I would be grateful. I do not want to get my excitment level up and be disappointed again:heartbeat
