Thanks, you are probably correct, it won't stick b/c I am forcing it. I am going to have a nice lunch with my husband and kids, and then pick it up and try again.

I don't mean to be so touchy, but I feel like this material is saying one thing in paragraph and the exact opposite in the next paragraph. I am also in such a pinch for time on this one I really don't know if it is possible to complete.

not really sure how this is so funny.....i have been through a lot to get through this program just as everyone else has, and after passing the cpne, with flying colors, i get a notice that after final review of my transcript i am short 2.0 hours in sociology. so i have until march 15 to pass this exam if i want to graduate on time, maybe i am a little touch about the situation, but i was looking for some guidance.

What books did you use to prepare for this exam?

need to pass Foundations of Gerontology to be GN!!!
I have been reading since Thursday and am only on Chapter 5. I have to keep rereading the same paragraph over and over again. It seems a little contradictory to what the paragraph before it said. Am I just putting to much thought into it, is it that cut and dry, and I don't realize it?

need to pass Foundations of Gerontology to be GN!!!
It is a time issue. My advisor told me that CLEP can take 4-6 weeks to get the transcript to EC, and I need everything finalized by March 15 to make graduation in April. And March 15 was an extension on the original cut off date.

A question off the subject, did they have a peds unit in Racine when you tested. I get mixed answers from others. Thanks!

This sounds like the method Amy at the EC suggested to me, kind of make the guaze fold into your hand like candy ribbon does. She mentioned folding the end small so the fringed edge doesn't mess you up and then begin to pack. I guess I will find out Friday if it is acceptable. Wish me luck!

No, you are correct it is for my fly. The only reason I have continued to put myself through the agony of nursing school is for my family, so it felt appropriate! Don't get me wrong, I love nursing, but it has been a VERY long road for me. To make a long story short, I had to withdraw the second half of my last semester of a traditional RN program, I went on bedrest for my first child. After he was born and I was ready to get back to it, and Hurricane Katrina tore my life apart and sent me miles away from my family and school. So EC was the only option for me. Now 3 years later I am one week from CPNE, so as I sit here telling my little girl (2nd child) I can't play dress-up with her I have to study I am ready to be free from this too. But I still feel like I would not be setting an example for her if I just gave up. Plus my husband would have a stroke if after paying student loans from the traditional program and putting me through EC. So it is all formyfly! And a little for me....I hope you reconsider throwing in the towel, but I am sure you no what is best for you and yours. Best wishes.

Apples, I can understand how you are feeling. To be able to read a book for pleasure, and not to have your children looking at you with that please don't neglict me anymore face would be heaven. But maybe after a few weeks you will look at the situation and be more motivated than before to complete this program. I am not am LPN, but I see the ones I work with and they are awesome nurses and don't get the pay they deserve! Best wishes to you and I hope you do go back and become a GN!!!!
