Confirmation Hearings for the Trump's incredibly bad choices for cabinet leadership positions.  Traitors, drunks, rapists, pet killers and television personalities were the first choice of the mentally ill old man.  

My Senator, Dan Sullivan is all over his social media singing the praises of these folk so we should expect most of them to be confirmed.   

Hegseths hearing should be starting about now.

Yesterday I read that the military, under Hegseth's leadership, is no longer conducting one of its effective recruiting events at a black event.

And now I read that Hegseth wants the change the name of Fort Liberty back to Fort Bragg. He just wants everyone to know that it's not the original, confederate soldier Bragg, it's a different one.  That's just stupid.

Hegseth seems to live up to the meaning of his white nationalist tattoos and I'm reminded that those who served with him saw him live up to them as well.

Will Trump's people abide by the court order?  Or, will they worsen the constitutional crisis that exists when a branch of the government operates outside of the law or convention, or usurps the authority of another branch.

"At first it was going to civil, like we're going to come against you, we're going to sue you,” said Myers, who worked for Netflix as its first chief diversity officer from 2018 to 2023. "Now they're talking about criminal—which is criminal.”

Speaking of DEI, someone called the Super Bowl halftime show a DEI show.  Also, someone complained there wasn't one single white person...the response was "now you want DEI?"

The DOJ is going to use vague threats of prosecution to force private business to abandon principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in their hiring.  Just like Republicans use vague and poorly written abortion laws to bully and threaten women and providers.

Ten of those employees are regional election security specialists hired as part of an effort to expand field staff and election security expertise ahead of the 2024 election. The regional staffers were told the internal review would examine efforts to combat attempts by foreign governments to influence U.S. elections, duties that were assigned to other agency staff, according to the person.

This is an interesting, but not unexpected, change. After all, fascists aren't historically known for conducting free and fair elections after seizing power.
