Confirmation Hearings for the Trump's incredibly bad choices for cabinet leadership positions. Traitors, drunks, rapists, pet killers and television personalities were the first choice of the mentally ill old man.
My Senator, Dan Sullivan is all over his social media singing the praises of these folk so we should expect most of them to be confirmed.
Hegseths hearing should be starting about now.

Member of Elon Musk's DOGE team resigns after racist posts resurface
Quote"You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity," the account wrote in September. "Normalize Indian hate," a separate post from that month read.
In July of last year, the account posted: "Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool."
In other posts, from December, the account pushed for repealing the Civil Rights Act and shared: "I just want a eugenic immigration policy, is that too much to ask."

QuoteMost fentanyl enters the US via MexicoSince September, 4,500lb (2,040kg) of fentanyl have been seized in the US, according to figures published by US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP). Almost all (98%) was intercepted at the southwest border with Mexico. Less than 1% was seized across the northern US border with Canada.
The figure above is just a few months. It seemed to drop some from 2023 to 2024 but was still over 20,000 lbs.
I think bickering about fentanyl between the US and Canada is a bit misplaced.
But we're not innocent victims being brutalized. There is a demand by Americans. History, at least in my lifetime has shown when there's a demand there is a way. If fentanyl goes away it will be something else.
Crusades said:Does it make you uncomfortable that that the American people elected him,a so called "Hitler "?
Very much so.
I've always stopped short of calling him Hitler because we all know he sent millions to the gas chambers. However, I have also understood some people being a little concerned and making the comparisons. (Musk with whatever he did certainly didn't ease people's minds about it.)
Right or wrong, we're going to be hearing about it and not just from TMB or left wing victims or propaganda, but from educated people and political analysts as well. (Mind you the article below is from an upgrad review started in 1969 and I don't know about the writer of the article but I presume she's a Harvard student(?))
Buckle up buttercup.
He won the election and the popular vote.
QuoteTrump's rhetoric echoes the racism and dehumanization present in the rhetoric of Adolf Hitler. His language is uncharacteristic of a politician governing on behalf of all Americans irrespective of race, ethnicity, or citizenship status. It is the kind of talk expected from a totalitarian dictator.

QuoteThe Lever reported Tuesday that USAID's inspector general was in the process of investigating its own public-private partnership between Musk's Starlink and the Ukrainian government at the time that the billionaire's DOGE crippled the agency. Publicly available information about that probe is still online. An announcement from last May reads: "The USAID Office of Inspector General, Inspections and Evaluations Division, is initiating an inspection of USAID's oversight of Starlink satellite terminals provided to the Government of Ukraine. Our objectives are to determine how (1) the Government of Ukraine used the USAID-provided Starlink terminals, and (2) USAID monitored the Government of Ukraine's use of USAID-provided Starlink terminals.”
Musk calls the agency "evil". How ridiculous. Fire the inspectors General who might investigate you and demonize the agency which aids others. That's a fascist strategy.
It's crazy to me that Americans approve of this guy's actions and intentions.

Yes, to me it is crazy too that some Americans approve of this guy or that he even exists in what really isn't a true department of the government.
After seeing him in action even Republicans are starting to disapprove.

I wouldn't be surprised if something that he's doing will land him in prison at some point.
Or it would in a normal environment. With Cash Patel doubtful that there will be any justice anywhere

Not to mention a preemptive pardon from Trump would be likely.
One of the best things I saw was Musk saying the PBS/NPR should be defunded because they should stand on their own and the response being that the Musk should be defunded because he could survive without government contracts. Musk apparently gets billions in government contracts.
QuoteOne of Trump's biggest moves in his second term in the White House was asking billionaire Elon Musk to lead an entity, called the Department of Government Efficiency, to focus on cutting federal spending.
"I've had a great help with Elon Musk, who's been terrific," Trump said during the interview, which was pretaped and aired as Trump flew to New Orleans to attend the Super Bowl in person, becoming the first sitting U.S. president to do so.

That's an important point. Patel and Bondi aren't going to hold Trump's main guy accountable to any laws. The only way that might happen is after this regime collapses.
I attended a birthday party yesterday just outside of Denver. It was a well attended event where I was one of two people in attendance who was born in the USA. All other people in attendance were born in Belarus or Ukraine or Russia before the fall of the USSR. Several of the attendees spoke in English about the current political climate. They were uniform in their belief that too many Americans were completely native about fascism and authoritarian rule and that those naive people might be celebrating because they have no idea what comes next.

The AMA is trying to step in and provide some public health guidance while Trump has the CDC communications shut down.
