I am new this this site and so far I have found some great advise! I am sign up to take my NLN pre entrance exam in Dec and I am so NERVOUS!! I have been out of school for about 10 yrs and have never done well with test taking. I am a more hands one type of person. I graduated with a Assoc in Science and am a Certified Medical Assist, and have been working in a Doctors offce for the past 3yrs. I have bought the NLN-RN study guide book that all of the nursing professors say is the best. I have scan through questions and I can honestly say OMG!! Its harder than I thought! My ACT was not as high to rank me up top so I hope this test will raise my scores! If there is anyone who has any tips or encouragement please help me out!! Many thanks!!!;)

HI I took my NLCEX RN exam yesterday and got 75 questions. This is my second attempt and i am just praying that i passed. I am scared because i got a ton of Prioritizing, who would you see first and delegating tasks questions. I had several med questions that i know i missed a couple of them. I am just scared as can be. I got a couple of fill in the blank math questions which i know for sure i got right. But i didnt get any select all that apply. Anybody not get any select all that apply and still pass? I dont know what i am going to do for the next 48 ours...HELP!

Hey, I just wanted to let you know, I'm in the same boat! I just took my test for the second time on Friday and got 75 questions too. I'm soooo nervous, I don't even know what to do with myself! I also got med calculations, a lot of prioritizing, etc. I did get quite a few select all that apply but I do have a lot of friends that passed and didn't have that many. It's all random just remember that! Just because it's not select all that apply doesn't mean it's not a difficult question!!! I'm sure you passed and my advice is to distract yourself with something fun! I know I can't really give great advice given that I'm in the same situation.....but, I hope it helps to know that you're not alone and you're not the only one killing yourself over waiting for the results!! GOOD LUCK!! Try to trust yourself, I know it's hard ;)

P.S. how many did you have the first time around???

I'm not sure if you already know this. They usually give us a board or a sheet of paper to write on to do our calculations, etc. After you seat, before starting the exam, try to write everything you need to know especially the lab values on the the board. That way, they're all out of you mind now, just have to look at board and compare with the correct answer when you need it. This really helped me alot during the exam. I hope it helps.

GOODLUCK!

exactly what is this? Does it prepare you for the NCLEX-RN exam

If anyone is interested..............This is an exceptional site for fewer dollars than what you spend on the prep books with CD's. http://www.NCSBN.org

Go to products, student learning. You can register for a small fee to practice your NCLEX online and evaluate your responces. I have a terrible case of test anxiety so this was a life saver for me. I found this site after failing the first test with the use of many prep books for the NCLEX. After registering with this site, I passed the 2nd round with 75 questions. It went so well I was afraid I had broken something when it turned off.

Hope this helps and Good Luck to you all.;)

Hello. I know you are feeling anxious. I just found out this morning that I passed the NCLEX-RN. I had 205 questions: alot of priority and delegation, 2 math fill in the blank questions, 2 select all that apply, pharm. It seems like I got every question type there is. My last questions was a priority question and the computer went blue after I answered it. :uhoh3:. You really never know how you've done. I know that I "guessed" on every single question. Well, I guess you can call it "critical thinking" since I passed :lol2:. Good luck with everything!!!
