QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

Pretty sure there is few and far between members on here that do not condemning the entirety of Jan 6 protest. One vocal member literally says that anyone who votes for Trump is a nazi, rapist liar........ bla bla.
I do call out terrorist sympathizers when due. Most of these palastine protesters probably do not outright support Hamas but many will not condem Hamas either. There is a loud group of radicals in these protest that actually claim Hamas are "freedom fighters". That's a very dangerous movement.
I do hold all politicians to call out and condem these terrorist groups and ideology. As we can use Jan. 6 as an example. It's easy to work people up into a frenzy by our words and inactions.
Jan.6 was called out and condemned by several Republicans. I do not see the same response from democrats condemning the terrorist sympathizing ideology.
The loudest one's such as the terrorist sympathizers at anti-Israel protests or the militia on January 6th are going to get all the publicity.
I can't say I agree with the idea that "Most of these palastine protesters probably do not outright support Hamas but many will not condemn Hamas either.". They are there to protest Israel not Hamas so you're not going to see and hear much condemnation of Hamas because that's not what they are there for. That's like saying at the massive pro-Israel rally in NY a while back there wasn't any condemnation of Israel's brutality to the Palestinians. Why would someone expect that there would be?
Democrats have universally condemned terrorist ideology. I'm not sure what you want, that at every single protest where there is someone pro-Hamas for them to say something?

This is too funny...
"Chuck Schumer is getting roasted in hilarious fashion after deleting what appeared to be a staged grilling photo.
The powerful Democrat Senator from New York posted a photo of himself grilling Sunday for Father's Day, but there was just one huge problem.
It was clear he had no idea what he was doing because he had a piece of cheese on a raw patty. Furthermore, the patties looked awful."

I guess I expect them (dems) to hold themselfs and their constituents to the same scrutiny they hold conservatives. Being the party of humanity and morals they claim to be.
I can appreciate what you said about the people who are protesting Isreal. However, Isreal ans Hamas are not 2 nations in conflict. Hamas is a terrorist group that has shot rockets off at Isreal for decades them breached their borders and committed the October terrorist attack. Hamas are not freedom fighters but vile entities that kill and murder without any regard. It should be easy to call them out even if you are protesting Isreal. Or at least not display and chant terroristic symbolism including Nazi rhetoric and imagery. Which makes the ridiculous in the least because the Nazis would have killed them too. Even if they found common ground in their hatred for Jews.
We forget the lessons of history when open hatred if Jews and the refusal of good men to act.

You can keep making hyperbolic claims about my remarks but the other members have read them as well. They all know that I've told you that your are a cult member. They all know that I've told you that you choose to vote for the same guy that Nazis and racists choose. Now they know that you will lie about specifically what was said to try to make a point about your victimhood.
Who cares what you think about the way others characterize the events of January 6th? The most glaring mischaracterization is yours, suggesting that it was no big deal.
Your own words in these threads contradict your notion that you hold all politicians to this or that thing. We can all see that is baloney.
Which republicans called out January 6th? You said there were several. All of the Republicans who spoke out on 0106 out 0107 have all either quit republican politics or were called rinos and primaried by MAGA. Or they have all now made fools of themselves by doing complete 180° flip-flops about what they observed and experienced that day in order to fawn over the felon king.
There's lots of things and details that you don't see because you are in a cult.

I think a lot of Republicans on that day said things like they supported their right to protest but did not condone the violence. That's pretty universal. Just like it's pretty universal that Democrats condemn.
I wish more had called out Trump for his great lie. It's been interesting to see the switch from a violent event to one "mostly peaceful" and not a big deal. Remember the poster who called it a bunch of tourists out taking pictures? My fear is we are destined for a repeat.
One year later it was noted that Republicans had a more muted response.
QuoteJust a year ago, many Republicans joined Democrats in reacting with horror to the Capitol insurrection, denouncing both the violence perpetrated by the rioters and the role played by former President Donald Trump in stoking the outrage that fueled their actions with lies about a "stolen" election.
But on the anniversary of the attack, top Republicans were far more muted. Some acknowledged the terror of the day but quickly pivoted to bashing Democrats. Many avoided observances planned at the Capitol. And still others didn't say anything at all.
It's all part of the political calculus in a party in which the former president remains very much in charge.

Yeah? Well terrorist sympathizers don't even want to vote/choose genocide Joe. So there's that.
Hostility is a symptom.of fear.
With gennicide joe not getting the extreemist terrorist symp vote, nor the jewish vote for not denouncing antisemetic demonstrations,, beyond generica pre written soeeches and the general concern about his cognition, you should be scared for a potential 2024 trump presidency.
You can keep calling me a cult member repeatedly and ironically like a try hard cult leader. Doesn't make it so.
toomuchbaloney said:You must have been sleeping or not paying attention that day.
Sleeping on the greatest day my fellow cult members ever had trying to overthrough the US government without weapons? For 4 whole hours? Or listning to my cult leader tell everyone to peacfully and patriotically make our voices heard that day by doing the great insurrection worse than pear harbour and 9/11? ? That's wouldn't make me a very devout cult member now would it?
Please don't tell my cult leader, I might get kicked out of that too.

They simply reflect their diet of propaganda and repeat that spin for a broader audience. Their positions of political influence give their lies and spin some weight. Their voting constituents either don't care about truth, facts and evidence or they are no longer able to discern facts from fabrications or fiction.
