He may have underestimated the willingness/ intent of people lacking empathy or compassion to hurt people who resist their will. President Trump has been promising his tariffs will help make America more prosperous.
There's already evidence that tariffs are helping the government's bottom line. The federal government collected $68.9 billion in tariffs and excise taxes during the first five months of the year, according to Treasury Department data collected by the Bipartisan Policy Center.
That's a 78% increase from the same period a year ago. Much of the additional revenue came in April and May, after Trump imposed tariffs of at least 10% on nearly everything the U.S. buys from other countries.
But whether the tariffs are making Americans more prosperous is another question. The tariff windfall isn't coming out of thin air. Nor is it being paid by foreign governments, as Trump often argues.
The New York Fed's Survey of Consumer Expectations showed the one-year inflation outlook took a substantial dip in May, down to 3.2% — a 0.4 percentage point decrease from April.
While the survey showed inflation expectations are still above the Fed's 2% annual target, they represent progress and a change in a fearful attitude that coincided with Trump's saber-rattling.

If his MAHA report is representative, we might expect those ACIP experts to be replaced by AI that will fabricate scientific support for RFKjrs opinions about vaccines. What happens when vaccines are no longer recommended? Do they become more expensive to the public?

There are thousands of law enforcement officers available in the state and none of the state leadership believed they needed the help that Trump insists he was sending. Trump's fundamental nature pushes against his own fabricated narrative. Trump is not an empathetic,thoughtful or helpful person. Those are uncommon features in extreme cases of NPD .

Homeland Security are concealing their identities and intentions while trying to gain access to elementary school children in LA. Perhaps these "stern professionals" were under the impression that the city, county and state needed some federal assistance with those children that they couldn't openly communicate.
