QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.
Biden was a guest on The View today. Did anyone watch? Did Biden look and sound as crazy and demented as Trump does on the regular?
I found a discussion of the appearance.

It sounds like Biden must be taking those magic dementia pills again to be able to answer questions and interact with people in such a thoughtful way without evidence of cognitive decline. Why isn't Trump taking them?

Because he's more easily controlled by the likes of Stephen Miller and Peter Thiel.
Accusation=confession redux. Kinda casts the entire 2024 presidential campaign in a whole 'nother light, doncha think?

I do.
It's a light that seemed pretty bright and obvious, even in 2024. Projection is a narcissists most reliable tool. Projection is especially useful when the audience is already prone to gullibility.

Including the US electorate. Not just trump voters, either. Eligible voters who didn't bother and "alternative candidate" voters fell for the scam, too.
Biden's age was certainly a valid concern, but I have always thought that his flubs were more a function of flagging stamina superimposed on normal aging.
For years, now, every time the right hurls an accusation or characterization, I have started looking over there to see what they're up to. I've pretty much always been able to figure out what they were trying to cover up. Conveniently, "whataboutism" has become a mortal sin here, making it very difficult to say the quiet parts out loud.

Correct. The media plays an important role in keeping the population complacent and apathetic. We are lulled into thinking that both political parties are the same and that it doesn't really matter who we vote for.
Biden's age was always a concern. I said so from the moment he ran in 2020. The rhetoric about dementia is clearly a projection.

"The media" covers a lot of territory. Watching-reading-listening to it is a graduate course in manipulation. Fascinating to watch what they're not talking about ... the parts we're not supposed to say out loud.

What the media doesn't report is very revealing. The words they won't say while they tell us what is supposed to be important to us.

I was one of those people who thought we had it. A few of my friends said she won't win because of x,y,z but I really thought she had a chance. There were also a lot of media followers who because of what they were watching from the media were saying that they weren't going to vote because they didn't like either candidate.
The day after the election when the media appeared shocked and asked, how did we get this so wrong? I couldn't help but roll my eyes...

Agree here, easily manipulated! You have to keep up with the law, know your history, do your own research, and shut out the background noise.

I wish I could upvote this one-hundred times... To add to this, there have been plenty of times when some of them have been prevented from covering certain topics or even investigating the other side of issues. It can be very political and often one-sided.
