QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

You mean the warrant that was issued only after a request to return the documents and a subpoena were ignored? The warrant that was served during daylight hours and while the club was closed and the owners away? The warrant that was served while the owners' lawyer was present? Where a locked closet was left unopened? Is that the warrant you are referencing?

Yes. The warrant that seems to be the source of so much fundamental confusion for Trump supporters. Why do you suppose that the confusion persists?

The economic downturn and losses in the stock market are all Trump's fault.
When the stock market made a dramatic drop after Trump announced his around the world tarrifs, it certainly reminded of how I felt in2008 and it didn't feel good. Unlike then though things didn't continue to go south and millions weren't being laid off. So the sky isn't falling....yet.
I will say my day to day financial situation hasn't changed because I still make the same salary and I work the same hours. But I can't help wonder what those large losses earlier (some of which have come back but I'm still about $30K less than before) is going to do to my long term plans. Like polls are showing, count me in the camp that's pessimistic and doesn't approve of how the economy is going.
My point was that they had never done that before in the 11 years we have banked with them in this community. They know my husband and they know he never buys what they are selling so I felt that they were under pressure to make the calls. I have no confidence in anyone who works for Trump who sounds very off the rails now. His hired help doesn't very often even sound intelligent. A $30.000 loss when you are close to retirement would be concerning for anyone .

But what you said something along the lines of you've never seen so much desperation from folks.
No, it's simply "concerning". Which I would agree with.
One more example of outrageous statements being walked back when pressed.

All the confusion about the Oklahoma warrant is from the left. Like Mar a Lago, it's a search warrant for a property. Who was there is irrelevant. I've said both a few times and included two articles about it.
I'm not sure why so much confusion.
QuoteOverall, Vought said the proposal contains a 23% cut ($163 billion) in discretionary funding, and a 13% increase in military spending after including the $150 billion Republicans are eying in a separate bill.
Trump told is that he didn't plan to implement P2025 and yet he's implementing it.
QuoteTrump's budget proposes a variety of steep cuts to well-known government programs, including cutting the National Institutes of Health by $18 billion compared with 2025 levels, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) by $4 billion, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by $3.6 billion.
The budget also calls for various cuts to clean energy funding, education funding, scientific research and international aid.
This doesn't look like the algorithm for a prosperous and healthy nation. What do you think?

I think a lot of the confusion would be resolved by seeing the actual warrant. When was it issued, was it served within the proscribed time range, was it a "no-knock" warrant, and was it required to be served after dark.
I also think its weak sauce that the HSI confirmed the address but did not confirm who was residing at the address, or at least had driven by to who was entering or we the same vehicles parked there.

You made a bold assertion to start this and made other judgments within the discussion. So, NOW you want to see the warrant? Interesting.

We'll assume the resident's story is true. It still doesn't matter. They were looking for evidence. The owner of the house is the same as it was.
This all came about after a long investigation the predates Trump. Arrests were made as part of this investigation. The warrant was issued based on a 80+ page affidavit from law enforcement.
You claimed that cruelty was the purpose of the raid. Another said it was "sloppy". Neither is true.
It's not enough to prevent fluoride in drinking water, now Texas is taking on Big Toothpaste.
QuoteTexas Attorney General Ken Paxton is investigating two leading toothpaste makers over their use of fluoride, suggesting that they are "illegally marketing" the teeth cleaners to parents and kids "in ways that are misleading, deceptive, and dangerous."
The toothpaste makers in the crosshairs are Colgate-Palmolive Company, maker of Colgate toothpastes, and Proctor & Gamble Manufacturing Co., which makes Crest toothpastes. In an announcement Thursday, Paxton said he has sent Civil Investigative Demands (CIDs) to the companies.
The move is an escalation in an ongoing battle over fluoride, which effectively prevents dental cavities and improves oral health. Community water fluoridation has been hailed by health and dental experts as one of the top 10 great public health interventions for advancing oral health across communities, regardless of age, education, or income. But, despite the success, fluoride has always had detractors—from conspiracy theorists in the past suggesting the naturally occurring mineral is a form of communist mind control, to more recent times, in which low-quality, controversial studies have suggested that high doses may lower IQ in children.

They didn't get anything wrong. They had the correct house and collected potential evidence from it.
Trump wasnt at his home when it was raided. If he let someone stay there and they were present when it was raided, would you be arguing that the raid shouldn't have happened?
