Airline travel between the United States and Canada has dropped by 70% compared to the same time last year, the result of dueling tariffs between the two countries and President Donald Trump's overtures to make Canada the 51st state, according to a new report.
The data, published Thursday by aviation analytics company OAG, shows the largest drop in scheduled airline seats filled is between July and August, the peak travel months, and is projected to last until at least October. The email to Anderson comes days after a Boston immigration attorney — who is also a U.S. citizen — received the same email from DHS, telling her to leave the country within seven days. The attorney, Nicole Micheroni, told MSNBC that as of Tuesday, federal officials had not followed up.
Pointing to the Boston email, Anderson said that she does not "have anything to do with immigration."
Anderson has been carrying her U.S. passport on her at all times since receiving the email and is seeking an immigration attorney.
"It does make me concerned there're a lot more people out there like me who probably also thought this was spam, who probably didn't realize, 'I have a problem,’” she said.

Whoa, I didn't know this was happening. 2 things. First did the Doctor receive an email and a letter. It seems as I was reading that she talked about receiving an email and then she also talks about receiving a letter. This is frightening. I'm glad she as a US Citizen didn't just brush it off as a mistake. As for the Immigration Attorney I would absolutely carry my passport just by the nature of her profession. No one wants to jump the gun and say she was targeted because of her profession, but it looks sussy. However, I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist and this could just all be a mistake. Either way they need to slow down or hire more experienced employees before sending out mass emails scaring people half to death.
To answer your question, Yes I would carry my passport with me if they sent me a letter telling me to leave the country in 7 days and I was born here..

Guess I should get a passport for my 70th birthday this year. Will have to wait until my May court date to get birth certificate amended with middle baptismal name added so I can get a REAL ID first --as drivers license has had my middle name for 50 years; PA requires me to go to court to get corrected.
