QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

I'm curious as to why you believe his intent with this bill is to keep millions of women from voting?
Fill us in, please.
I don't recall saying that was his intent. It certainly could be a consequence of the bill. There have been lots of unintended consequences from republican legislation that is vague and sloppy, in recent history. .

That last bit of the tweet was poignant
QuoteBottom Line: Back in 1950s, like it is today, politics are rarely about Gazans, their interests, or their living standards. If it were, a brand new city would have been a huge upgrade from tent city in Gaza, but Nasser and his opponents were jockeying for their own game, and the Gazans were then -- like they are today -- pawns in a game that cares little about them.
Tweety said:Think about what you are saying. A president gets on the world stage and says he's taking Gaza and it's to distract democrats. Are you that desperate to defend Trump and ridicule Democrats that you post nonsense.
Trump is getting on with being a President and doesn't need or care about Democrats. He won the election and the popular vote.
Exactly. I was participating in the fear mongering conspiracy like theory of evil intentions and fascist plots.
I'm glad to see you noted the ridiculousness.

You've offered enough opinions about how you feel about that topic. No need to look foolish to make a point. But you do you.

Oh no no. I don't feel I look foolish at all. Gosh No. LOL
I was making a point of how foolish somethings were by saying something simular to the repetative foolish rants on this forum.
Which is, foolish.
"Armored Tesla" forecast to win $400 million State Department contract after Trump's election, government document shows
QuoteThe State Department's procurement forecast, revised as of late December 2024, lists Tesla as the recipient of the largest expected contract, with Marco Rubio's department planning to buy $400,000,000 worth of "Armored Tesla.”
The award is targeted for Q4, and is forecast to last for five years.
The procurement forecast is listed as having been modified on December 13, 2024, a month after Donald Trump's election. The State Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Under the heading, "extent competed," the document reads merely "TBD."
This is a developing story, check DropSiteNews.com for updates.
Elon Musk is both the head of Tesla and a senior government official who has been relentlessly halting government contracts.

Same reason they've gutted public education: impoverished, illiterate, poorly nourished and sick people are that much more desperate for any resources they can scrape together. Next best thing to slavery (they have H1b visas for that). If too many workers die off, they have all those forced pregnancies to pick up the slack.

but how do they justify it to their constituents? Is it because only persons of color, and nonbelievers are poor? I thought more whites received Medicaid than persons of color.
